Mostafa Gad, 05 May 2014i need decision please about ( max or m8 ) even im not inte... moreHello mostafa.Htc m8 is good looking,latest processor s801 than s600 max.m8 is more slippery than max.I am using one max its no.1 battery backup than all Android phones.most beautiful display watching movies, and finger print scanner more security. I suggestions one max is better than m8.m8 screen look like same as m7,reson on screen buttons.htc m8 main disadvantage on screen buttons with htc logo,halh inch waste of screen.

    If you check in your boot loader and it doesn’t say ***LOCKED*** in the first line. And S-ON in the second line. Then you are not going to get any updates from HTC as your boot loader has been tampered with.
    If you don’t know how to get to the boot loader you can read my post with time stamp 2014-03-09 14:10 where I talked about clearing your cache partition. (it’s part of those instructions)

      AnonD-119255, 04 May 2014Hello Anthony, please suggestions me,how to benefits of roo... moreBenefit of rooting is you can install whatever you like, no matter how harmful it can be to the security of your phone (and you can try to undo the SD CARD slot restriction)
      On the down side…. In a rooted ONE MAX, the finger print scanner will not work. This is to protect your print from malicious software. Also you will stop getting OTA updates as your phone has to be “S-Off” by HTC Dev to unlock the booth loader which also stops you from getting updates from HTC.
      I can’t tell you which cooked ROM is best as I don’t see anything Wong with the HTC ROM in the first place, so I haven’t tried any cooked ROMs (and don’t plan to). Not getting my data jacked is more important to me. But if you still want to root. Follow the link below.

        i need decision please about ( max or m8 ) even im not interested about camera quality so 4 pixel is enough for me and finally i want aphone for along time without change so it must be a HERO for me . now what to buy ( max or m8 ) ?

            But nobody can beat max for its massive display scribble functions on the large screen.
            And max is best for watching multimedia.
            Only one big difference is m8 is easy to handle with.
            I think once we get sense update for themax ni need ti change your phone.
            Max will become ultimate phone ones it get software update.

              hi.my one max has t mobile sim unlock rom .but everytime I check for kitkat update it says your phone is up to date.so t mobile users still on android 4.3 or what?tnx

                        Hey guys..... I wish to buy this monster flagship coming from great great HTC and my question is... These devices have non removable battery with aluminum uni body. If the battery dead what will happen to the phone? can we replace the battery? or what will happen to the phone? Please give me a suitable answer as soon as possible. Thank you.

                              Using the one max as an example…..
                              It has 1080 lines of pixels in landscape.
                              Using a ruler, the screen is approximately 2.875 inch tall when held in landscape like a TV.
                              1080 lines, divided by 2.875 inches = 375.65
                              That is the appox pixel density.
                              There is no way in this world that software is going to pack more lines of pixels in the 1 inch distance.
                              Not even if your name a Samsung :)
                              To increase pixel density you would have to get a new screen that actually has more lines of pixels per inch.
                              Hope you understood that.
                              What can be done by software is improve the video driver commands on how it displays a picture/video on the 1080x1920=2,073,600 pixels that make up the screen.
                              Using contras, hue, saturation, refresh rate and (image pixels interpolation, when the picture/video being displayed has less than a 1080x1920 in resolution) a next improvement is how much power it takes to do all those calculations.
                              So if you asking….
                              Could your low res pictures look better with a software update? The answer is yes. But it don’t work for HTC so just like you i have to wait and see.
                              Could the power consumption be less with the update? Yes because the drivers in the M8 are better designed than that of the M7 based models.
                              Could the update change the physical make-up of the screen of an old phone to increase pixel density? LOL I’ll let you answer that one.

A software update can... moreI have the Samsung note 2 and when i updated to jellybean 4.3 the screen resolution changed drastically and anyone will easily notice the difference in quality. It was as if pixel density was increased. I am not the only one saying this if you go through note 2 forum here in gsmarena you will see other people said the same thing. I only thought that if Samsung can do it htc can do it also. And am am still saying that screen quality might become as good as m8 with software update.
                                At note 2 forum someone even made this statement " DID SOMEONE TOUCHED MY PIXEL DENSITY?"

                                  A software update can’t change what the screen is mode of, or the pixel per inch count, or the native rez or your app. So exactly what are you talking about when you say “screen quality”? so we both can be on the same page.
