AnonD-107114, 17 Mar 2014I got the ONE MAX FACTORY UNLOCKED but still rocking 4.3 ..... moreYes 4.4 is out for the one max. I got it in February when I got my phone.
Please note that 4.4 restricts your SD card slot to read access only to apps that didn’t come preinstalled with the phone. It’s a restriction put in by google. So writing to the Card has to be done by connecting to a PC if it’s not a edit/write being done by the camera, album, voice recorder Bluetooth or internet download.

AnonD-119255, 17 Mar 2014How to Connect htc one max with 3g dongles.its possible. It is possible depending on the type of dongle you have.
If you have a personal wifi hotspot, it is as simple as putting on wifi picking the dongle and putting in the passcode. If you have the type that only works from a USB port, it may not work because of power/driver limitations but I will check it out tonight with a USB OTG cable and let you know.

Anonymous, 15 Mar 2014Should i buy max or note3? I have note2 and its very very g... moreThe reason why I chose the ONE MAX over the NOTE 3

I was ready to upgrade from the Samsung galaxy SIII and boiled my choices down to the one max and the Note 3 which I believed to be 2 great phones to meet my needs and luv of a big screen.
Between the 2 on paper the NOTE 3 looked like the better phone in almost every way, But when I started to think of what I used, and didn't use the most on the SIII, the note 3 started to slip from its hands down win position.
I would fit my daughter’s 7” galaxy tab in my pocket so I knew any of the 2 phones would not be a problem for me to carry, as I’m a heavy Netflix user. The bigger screen was more attractive.
The note has a Super Amoled display for super rich colors but after some research I realized that Super LCD3 much better than the typical LCD of years gone, not to mention how much less battery power it would use compared to the Super AMOLED.
Power consumption was a critical factor, as on the SIII with blotted TouchWiz I had to install a 7000mAh battery to get satisfactory use. So seeing that the note was using an even more blotted version of touchWiz, this was a negative for the note.

Looking at audio quality for watching movies or getting voice props in waze I didn't think the note 3 would be able to outperform the MAX with its large front facing stereo speakers with built in applier (and on a phone, laud, clear Audio quality is most important in my opinion) I’m not saying the note3 was going to be bad, I just believe that the ONE MAX was going to be better.
Looking at RAM & CPU the note 3 was better with 3GB (1GB more than the ONE MAX) and the faster CPU. Knowing that RAM & CPU is important to the smooth running of a smart phone, I started to look for completes about lagging. In the U.I. by users of both phones because that is where I had problems with the SIII. My installed app would work fine but the home screen, dialer and contacts response & regeneration time started to become intolerable. I found no real complaints with any of the 2, but seeing that the note 3 uses the same U.I. as the SIII this was I bit of a turn off for me.
The note 3 has way more smart gestures than the one max but other than smart stay to keep the screen on when you are watching, all the rest I turned off on the SIII because they were more of a nuisance than an assistance to me, so having more and air gesture too was not something I was looking forward to having. So if I did go with the note 3 I would have turned most of it off.
The MAX has no independent Svoice like app which in my opinion wasn't a big deal because Svoice is dependent on a high-speed internet connection for it to work and even though my native language is English Svoice has an almost impossible time understanding my accent as I’m not an American or speak the Queen’s English. So it was just not practical to use.
B.T.W. The ONE MAX dose have voice commands for the phone & car mode U.I. to control the phone, audio player, radio, nav and sms. And unlike Svoice it is not internet dependent and has no problem understanding what I am saying.
The Note3 uses a USB 3 cable because of this it would have faster transfer rates than the USB 2 cable of the ONE MAX. This is a plus but I have many USB 2 cables from other devises including a USB OTG cable that I can use on the ONE MAX but the note 3 would be my first device with a USB3 cable. This would mean I would have to walk with the cable every ware as USB 3 is not a common thing every ware as yet and if I damaged the cable I couldn't just take a cable from a next device. In addition I would have to buy a new USB3 OTG cable. Because of this for now I would prefer to stay with a device that uses USB 2 until USB 3 micro cables become more common.
The camera of the Note 3 looks better in test shot I have seen and if the camera is most important to you I would say go with the note 3. But the camera I just one of the many things I need. And looking at test shots of the ultra-pixel camera on the ONE MAX it was also more than acceptable. (When I tried it myself, it was above my expectations)
The ONE MAX has the bigger battery but the Note 3 has a removable battery. Because of this it is possible to install a 10000 mAh zerolemon battery on the note 3. I can only hope that a large pogo pin extended battery would be made for the ONE MAX.
Both phones have I.R. blasters but the ONE MAX gets the edge because not only can it download settings just like the note 3 but it can also be custom programmed using the remote of the device you want to control.
E.g. if you have a TV, cable box and sound bar. It is possible to make 1 remote interface that will turn on your TV, control its inputs, change channels from the cable box and adjust the volume of the sound bar instead of using 3 remote interfaces.

Hi friends thanks a lot for giving your user opinions about HTC One Dual SIM phone because from about last six months I am reading opinions on HTC One Dual SIM phone. AAlmost all users wrote that this handset is excellent except there is a problem in SIM-2. I talked about this problem with HTC Care India also they replied me that there is no any such problem in this handset and no one yet reported us about this problem. Again they suggested me that if you are not interested in this handset then you can buy our other product in dual SIM category that is One Max Dual SIM which I think yet not launched. This suggestion definitely means there is some problem in this regard but company don't want to except this.

Now my question is does anyone reported about this problem to HTC Care India (for Indian users only) and what reply you have received. Secondly if anyone using HTC One Max Dual SIM phone then give me your opinion about this phone.

Despite I am very nervous due to HTC Care Indias reply to my question but still I like this handset so much because of its other features available in any other handsets in dual SIM category. Secondly I am confusing to decide that either I should buy HTC One Dual SIM or HTC One Max Dual SIM. So please friends help me to decide about this.

                                Hi guys/gals
for those of you that were not getting the fingerprint scanner to work or work properly on the 4.3 ROM. you should give it a try again after you flash the 4.4 ROM.
I decided to give it a try again today. and surprise, surprise 100% recognition on the first swipe all day long. yahooooooo!
b.t.w. i have 1 finger on each hand setup.
