1 normal exposure, 1 under exposed & 1 over exposed. Then it blends all 3 together to get that perfectly exposed shut.
But HDR should only be used for pictures where nothing is moving or you'll get motion blur in your picture. And if you can't keep your had steady for all 3 pictures, that will also cause motion blur when the pictures are blended. (I don't know how is phone does HDR for video.)

For stills life use the focus lock so the camera don't focus on the wrong subject.
To turn focus lock on put your finger on the object you want in focus in your shot and keep it there till you see "AE and AF locked" then take your picture.
For moving objects or when it's difficult to keep your hand still press and hold the shutter button the camera will take 20 rapped pictures. Pick the one that looks the best and then tap "best shot" the rest of pictures will be discarded.

I'm looking for the official copy of the Hong Kong 4.3 ROM to roll back my phone.
The SD card write restrictions in 4.4 is not worth the update.

Btw, i dont know if you already know the trick to turn off the screen of htc one max, i happen to find it useful so i will tell you and for the benefit of all htc one max users. Download the 'screen off' app then activate it. Then try to use the gesture to launch the google now (swiping up your thumb from the home button). It will then ask you which app to launch. Set as default the screen off. Then thats it. You can lock your fone without using the power button. Its cool.

April, 20 Mar 2014To the existent users of HTC one max, may I know how's the ... moreWay better than Note 3 WiFi so far. I used to own Note 3 for a month solid it and bought HTC one Max for 4 reason
1- ONE max screen way better than Note 3 better sharpness, bigger,beteer colors replication.
2- Battery life it's not bad on Note 3, but on One max it's great with heavy use playing heavy games, watiching YouTube videos stays for 21 hours.
3- Call quality on HTC one max way better due to the higher speaker quality and excellent noise cancellation.
4- dialer and phone book on One max millions times better than laggy and slow Note 3 dialer and ugly phone book.
5- WiFi signal great on HTC one max no drop or disconnect plus the fingerprint scanner works just fine not as techs sites mentioned cause they doesn't know how to use it.
6- camera aren't bad at all as tech sites mentione, but you need Avery steady hands Other wise use the camera timer to take great shoot.
Hope this will help you decide by yourself .

Found an app that many of you may already know but for those that don’t…. It allows you to load your dialer into the notification bar, so you no longer need it in that lunch bar. And you could use that spot in the lunch bar for some other app you frequently use.
Having you phone dialer in the notifications bar. Means you can go to the dialer at any time, when working in an app, without having to go to the home screen first.
The app is in the play store and it’s called dialer@Bar

But if your WiFi problem only started after you updated then it is not a hardware problem.
It is either softer ware conflicts cause during the update or discontinued support for your model wireless router.
Boot into Android system recovery mode, wipe your cache partition and do a factory reset. That would get rid of any conflicts.
If you still have the problem after that. You could try with a next brand router and see if you are still having the problem. I know (Linksys brand is very popular)
It is cheaper to fix the problem than to change your phone, if that is the only problem you have with the Note 3.

To the existent users of HTC one max, may I know how's the wifi connection on one max? I'm thinking of changing my note 3 to one max. Wifi connection on my note 3 is very poor and have intermittent disconnection after update to version 4.4.2.

i need the measurement of how far apart from each other the pogo pins for the wireless charger receiver are?
I'm trying to determine if the n9000 receiver could work on the outside of the ONE MAX

The 1 connection USB only dongle that you have to connect to a PC don't seem to work with OTG cables (the one i tried anyway). The multi connection wifi hotspot dongle is what you need and your service provider has to support it. See link below for example.

If the PC USB dongle is your only option for internet you can set-up an internet pass-through. This will allow you to get internet from the PC you have it connected to, via your phones slandered USB cable. Down side is your mobility is restricted by the length of your USB cable.
Steps to setup the internet pass-through
1. Go to settings>more>mobile network sharing> and pick (Internet pass-through)
2. Connect your phone to the PC that has an internet connection using your USB able.
3. When you get the option on your PC, install HTC sync Manager. (this will download the required drivers)
Once the drivers are installed you should see..
Internet pass-through
Connected
In your notifications bar of your phone.
Note if you choose to set-up the rest of HTC sync manager is up to you, as it is not needed if all you plan to use is the internet pass-through.
