You can MOVE IT.
it's Does WORK.
Not ALL apps support it.
and I CONFIRMED it was moved to ext Ad and not int ad by removing the SD to see if the app would still start.

Anthony, 28 Feb 2014Yes you have the option to move 3rd party apps to the SD fr... moreMeaning you can move apps but you cant use it until you put it back to phones memory right?its useless and you said not all apps can be move?so sad...this is what Im comparing to note 3 or other samsung device. You can move all apps you have from internal to sd and you can still able to use it. I really like htc one max...tsk...but, moving apps to sd hassle free is a must for me. Lol.

here this is the solution to google mess sd card not writing issue on kit kat!!
you have to be rooted! i can confirm it work for my htc one max and the galaxy note 3 of my friend.
1. using a root-enabled file manager, navigate to /system/etc/permissions
2. edit platform.xml and find the write_external_storage permission.
3. add an additional group definition for this permission...
4. save the changes to the file.
5. restart.

adil khan, 28 Feb 2014camera not good only 4 mpnot just 4MP,it is 4MP with ultra pixel.in ultra each pixel are 3-3.5 times bigger and get light 3-3.5 times more.so 4MP ultra pixel is equal to 12-14MP.

And I confirmed it by moving Netflix to SD and when I removed the card…. The Netflix icon greyed out and showed a SD card logo on it, until I put the card back in the phone.
But you should note not all apps support this.
you should also note that copy/past/move/edit (any write commands to the SD card) has been restricted in every file manager in the new 4.4 ROM update by google. so this may be a game changer for you. now to do the above mentioned I have to connect to a PC and do it from there.

your service provider does not support data and voice simultaneously. it would not matter what phone you use, you will not get it.

I like the phone it's very nice but I have to let it go because you cant use your mobile data while on the phone unless WiFi is available to I'm going to the note 3

Does htc software allows you guys move apps from internal to external sd card like samsung? Does htc did some separations in memory like 2gb phone memory and 11gb for the internal sd memory= 13gb user memory available?cause i have a phone that does it. Instead of making a one storage they separate the phone memory and the internal memory. So, still even though im rooted. Those apps i installed goes to phone memory and when i tried to move it, it moves to the internal sd of the phone and not to the external micro sd card. So annoying! Anyone can share and show me actual memory of the 16gb and 32gb of storage?I wanna be sure before I buy it. Thanks.

with the... morethat I didn't know, if that is true then htc should create a file manager of its own.
about the things you wanted me to tests, I have tried all that and your results were exactly the same as mine.
Just wanted to add, Advance download manager (ADM) doesn't work also if you save the downloading path to the SD card. The only way we can transfer the files from and to the sdcard is using a computer e.g. laptop or desktop.

copy from int to SD = fail
copy from SD to in = pass
move from sd to sub sd = fail
move from int to sub int = pass
download to SD = pass
download using utorrent to SD = fail
camera to SD = pass
