I am from Romania and got the 1.7 dual core witch is fast and lets say determined. When is very determined to give it's best, it gets so hot that you cannot keep it in your hands. I actually am a little scared about this thing..Anyway, the phone is actually a middle level phone with big aspirations. I had 1-2 glitches and had to restart the phone because the camera went crazy and a movie that I made with the phone keeps blocking. One more thing, you can actually see the pixels if you have good eyes, not comparable with samsung but is a very lively screen anyway. For the rest, a nice phone with a smaller screen than other beasts outhere.

I've been using HTC smartphones since 2006, starting with the old HTC Tytn. I feel competent to say that this phone is truly amazing. The display is stunning, the speed is excellent, and those 16gb of memory are more than enough. The only drawback is the recent apps button which I find pretty much useless and annoying. The button is positioned in the low-right corner and one simply can't avoid to touch it accidentally.

I got my new HTC one S black with S4 Processor a week back.No chipping as of now.
Installed around 80 apps and still the phone is amazingly fast in games, browsing and other stuff.
The best of this phone is the sleek design - very handy.
The drawback I have seen in this phone is
1.battery(1 day for heavy usage and 2 days for normal);Gets little hot after 1hr of browsing(normal with any high end smartphone)
2.No card slot and non-removable battery(same with iPhone - don't think this is an issue)
3.Prone to chipping, if not used carefully(black one)

to all users of htc one s with dual core 1.7 s3 chipset what can you say about the phone is it worth to buy? I really like htc one s but there was no dual core 1.5 s4 released in our country that is why im very disappointed. Pls post ur experiences regarding my query, hope u can help me. Thanks...

I would go for HTC one S... as i did haha
HTC one X has a better screen, but one S is a better phone overall in my oppinion.
