The One S redeems itself in the video playback test – at 9 hours and 28 minutes, it ranked in our all time Top 3. We are not saying you should do it, but this would allow you to watch the whole Lord of the Rings trilogy (Wikipedia claims 9 hours 17 minutes of runtime) on a single charge.

AWESOME

I would really buy this phone over the Sony Xperia S and the Samsung Galaxy SII but the internal memory turns me off so much. Only 10 GB and no micro sd card slot. That's not enough memory for me because I put loads of music, take a lot of pictures and videos on a phone and I want to keep them so I can listen and watch them every time. I really hope that they will have a 32 GB version. Please HTC!!!!

Hello! Can someone helps me out clearing this?

In gsmarena review, "The HTC One S offers quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and tri-band 3G, but unfortunately HTC didn't see fit to provide HSDPA and HSUPA data speeds."

Does it means it doesn't support hsdpa or 3.5g?

This by far the best phone I have used. I just sold my iphone 4, and I have always been a big fan of htc phones. The HTC Media Link HD is great idea. It works better than apple tv.

The phone beats the iphone in every area for me. As for Samsung Galaxy S III, it will be interesting to see what they release.

But something tells me, iPhone 5 or Galaxy S III, will not have patch on the One S.

@HTC Users, How is HTC Location?

In HTC One S review GSMArena has mentioned "With HTC Locations you can download country maps for free". Can anyone tell me if its a HTC provided map or we can download google maps?

Also please tell me if HTC location will reroute automatically if we take a wrong turn?

Users that already bought this device said that the unibody is scratching very easily. So this means that the micro arc oxidation tehnique is not working at least in this case. On the other hand the grey one which hasn't got the MAO treatment is ok.

Wait... no SD Card slot?? Really? That is a killer because as nice as "the cloud" has been to us all, backup to an SD card is imperative. 16 gigs of internal memory is cute until you need to wipe your phone and reload it. Please say it ain't so.

Personally this will be my new phone. HTC always makes nice build quality and the formfactor fits me perfectly. Previous had Samsung Glaxy II and loved it btw. Exspecting his phone to be very similar and a little faster with an even better camera. Also One X has really bad batterylife compared to this S model, so this will be the pick for me. In benchmarks X only outperforms the S by fragtions :)

Lacks of sd card is an old story. Cloud storage is the way of the future. No used in complaining, soon all of u need to adapt. By the time we are 100% cloud computing, data rate will be much more cheaper and coverage will be wider. All people in the world will be able to use the internet no matter where u are. That is the future.

One S has the best 1.4ghz krait dual core 2nd generation processor, best adreno 225 graphics and 1gb of ram. Whats the use of having so much storage? MicroSD slow down the loading speeds.

Those who say that nokia 808 is better, I personally think that you only look at the storage size. Comparing the Processor and Ram between One S and Nokia 808, 808 is completely wiped out.
