Very Bad Phone. My HTC 1V is creashing all times, now I am not able to make the call.
To open the phonebook it takes 2-3 minutes.

I am using HTC one v for past 1.5 yrs and also getting bogged down by the same issues.
Sms not opening, contacts not responding, missed calls showing after 1hr.
Arey these are the basic functions which a smartphone should perform seamlessly.
Leave aside ur GPS, beats audio, multitasking ..
I am going to upgrade to nexus5. Hope it doesn't disappoint.

HTC one V is a worst ever mobile i ever used. Battery back up is bad, touch felling may be good but once you load 2, 3 application like Viber, Whattsaap it start crashing. most of the time mobile used to become unresponsive. to open a phone book it takes 2-3min, one day i could not able to open phone book for an hour, i tried after restarting the phone several times but all went in vain.. Last i can say HTC post sale service is terrible.. in blore they only have one authorized service center, they used to take more than a week to serve simple problem.. there are few center who collect the phone for service, but if you give to them you can forget your phone for couple of weeks..

Pls can someone help me?My HTC One V is very slow,if i want to make call either from dialed calls or contact list,check my account balance,view my contact list or save a contact it takes like 2 to 3mins before it will respond...also the phone does not respond very well in general and its very hot whenever am browsing or doing other things....Pls reply as soon as possible...tanx

most things about this phone are good. eg the screen is great, battery life is good, it has an SD card slot and GPS. etc. the only reason I can't stabs it is because it's so slow, and has slow slow RAM (and hardly any of it is free)
I have installed a stable and relatively fast custom ROM and over clocked it to 1.5ghz, and it is still too slow. look elsewhere if you're thinking of buying this.

Abhinandh, 28 Jan 2014I am using HTC One V from 2 yrs, from past 6months getting ... moreTo everyone having issues with this phone, with non responsive apps, "edge" only networks or any errors with the phone. My only suggestion would be, if your ok with loosing your information, you can factory reset your device.
Power off your device- DO NOT PRESS POWER AND SELECT POWER OFF. THIS IS STAND BY MODE!!
Hold the power button, pop up will read "to restart your phone hold power for 3.2.1- etc.. let go of the power button once the bottom lights stop blinking and the screen goes black
Phone will reset and turn back on, when you see the htc sign pop up on the screen, press and hold both the volume DOWN and the power buttons. The will reset into its bootloader allowing you to factory reset. This method does not require even root. Just patience trying to throw it into the bootloader because trying to keep the phone off is a pain. Holding power for about a minute WILL turn it off (LOL) From there just holding volume down before powering it on will gain bootloader access-
If you have saved your contacts to your sim you wont loose them--
HTC Offers official bootloader unlock methods with step by step instructions for anyone that's looking to achieve root.

HTC One V is a sluggish phone- Weighing it down of course is it small CPU and only 1 GB Internal available to us users.
Antutu Benchmark- With Overclock to 1704mhz and Wiped system was in the high 6000- at the very best. Stock with nothing done to it, phone scores 5139 (just ran it)
Beats Audio is a very nice feature and as a first time user of ANYTHING Beats, It was a great equalized sound.
Multitasking: Is non existent- Keep to one task with this one.
Camera- Best feature.. Look at the camera comparison chart- This camera is amazing, the vivid colours is why I still keep it on me even though I've upgraded-
With all that being said- Modding this phone, is an absolute terrible idea especially in US with the lack of North American roms-- besides that, not one rom allows proper use of the DEFAULT camera.. ALL but shpongle (which will only allow Google Play App cams to work)
Body of this phone was very unique and felt very comfortable while holding with a sleek curved bottom.
I successfully flashed a number of Roms to this phone and after finding out the camera didn't work, despite how much I hated sense, had to revert.
To restore your phones speed, you must remember that "after a couple of months of use" just like a computer it must be cleaned. This was my problem as well but quickly got remedied by-
Rooting the phone, getting SDMaid or a cleaning program of your choice. Cleaning the Cache, System and Dalvik. after this you will see the same speed as when purchased..
All in all this is an sub par phone. Be prepared for some lag however and the browser along with a lot of apps will run slow.. If this is your first time trying Android, don't base the way it handles of this device as it displays Androids capabilities poorly

I am using HTC one v 1year ago .but before some time he (HTC one v)not give me batter battery backup .and also he switch off suddenly when use the mobile.what I do ?

I am using HTC One V from 2 yrs, from past 6months getting error report like...
1)Contacts Storage is not responding.
would you like to send an error report to HTC?this will help us improve our products.
(many times error report sent but no reply)
2)if some one gives me a missed call after 3-4hrs its shows the missed call.
3) Unfortunately, Google play, whats app , we chat, contacts,....... store has stopped .
Kindly suggest me what should i do?

Nice phone. Good apps that works perfectly. My suggestions to people that complain about when the phone doesn't work well. Please, close the Apps you don't use at a particular time and enjoy your device's speed.
