samsumng galaxy ace plus s7500 and htc one v dont have secondary cameras, a huge disadvantage if we consider 3G services are cheaper in the near future.

Very good phone...working properly.now 2 months finished...its amazing..this is my experience...

Bought an HTC one V for my wife at an O2 shop.
Shop moved the sim from her old phone and set up the new phone. Got it home and put it on charge (recommend to charge for at least eight hours). Charged overnight, in morning phone would not switch on. Returned it to the shop where they confirmed it was dead and gave me a replacement.
Replacement phone had very short battery life 3-4 hours and became very hot during operation. Too hot to hold. Again returned to shop where a replacement was given.
Replacement phone much better but the camera app started to malfunction. It would not shoot video and eventually would not load at all. Retuned to shop where the O2 guru performed a reset to factory settings that cured the problem. 20 minutes later it was not working again.
Returned to or shop where phone was exchnaged for a Sony Experia.
Very dissapointed with the HTC.
It felt very solid and looked great, it just didn't work properly.

This is very bad phone you belive that because i used this phone before 15 days, it start hang now it has total dad please please don't purchase htc products as i recommend with personal experience

I purchased HTC One V on April 2012. Yesterday my mobile did not switch on all of a sudden. It was working fine 5 mins back. I took it to the HTC authorized service center here. They saw the phone and said that the motherboard needs to be changed. I was shocked to hear that. I asked the service representative how could he say that without even checking what has happened. He replied that they have received many mobiles of the same model (HTC One V) with the same issue. While saying, another customer with the same model came with the same issue.
When asked the reason, the service representative explained that we should not let the mobile phone to drain off its battery. If the batter is drained off it will neither reboot nor will get charged. And the only solution is to change the mother board.
I am deeply disappointed with the product. Its just 45 days since I purchased the mobile and the mother board has gone just because the battery is drained off. If this is the reason then HTC One V is not a smartphone. The product and design totally is a bug.
With no other way I gave the mobile phone for service. Adding more to my disappointment, the HTC authorized service center said it would take 10 days to get it repaired as the spare part is not available with them.

Hey same thing happened to my bf. bought the one v in 10 days if failed to turn on. Got another on June 14th , it is June 17th and will not turn on.

my friend had 1 and we were disappointed with it... 1st we had to get a replacement as the mobile wont save any contacts/read memory card/save camera clicks.. 2nd replacement for call drop when using 3g network.. 3rd replacement for white vertical line on the screen... Loved HTC once but not now :( .. 4Th time no replacement got his money back :)

Have htc one-v and i'm happy,looks good,good camera,good build qoulity,only battery is not very strong,have charge phone every day.

in my opinion. HTC one v isn't really a bad phone. it has some really good features like good camera and sound quality. I can even play games like mass effect infiltrators and shadowguns which are 3d games (although they lack sometimes) high end games can be a big problem though. yes the apps work fine but I felt some of the inbuilt apps really useless. (who wants an app like bollywood masti or something) for gamers try HTC one x or s. in terms of network problems I don't seem to have it. no yellow patches or whatnot. battery seems fine despite being a smartphone. let's just hope I don't regret this phone later but till now its working just fine... I would rate 3.7 out of 5

Yellowish spots in all four corners of display, lower two more visible. Cca 4 mm diametar.
One V bought in Croatia a month ago, company phone, my manager says "it doesn't affect your work" so until something else happens I'm stuck with it.
They are barely visible, so It's not really an issue, it just irritates me now when I know they're there.
No other issues.

all those having problem with one v, can you all please tell the (date of manufacture) of your phone.
i have heard that the problems are there only in the phones manufactured in april or before...

Same price btw HTC One V and Samsung Wave III i finally decided and bought Samsung W3;
4" Super Amoled LCD, front facing Camera, Good design but HTC One V does not.
HTC One V has Android OS 4.0 but Samsung Wave 3 has Bada 2.0 Apps are much better in Android OS and Bada is too behind.
All other Specs are similar..
