I strongly recommend installing a custom ROM and overclocking the processor for this phone. It should solve most issues found in this thread

i got my hands on d htc v one nd i'm importantly state its lack of responsiveness nd lag associated to android devices lower dan jellybean (thanks to project butter). It has an ambiguios file explorer(xplore), very complex for non geeks. apart from that,.i find it to be a relatively nice smartphone

The bluetooth on all of the HTC phones seems to have real problems. I am in my car a lot, and depend on my bluetooth. I hated my Samsung, but the bluetooth worked great. Really sucks that HTC can't fix this, it appears they have known about it for some time.

dont buy any htc product.. my htc one v in warranty gone for repairs..its been 3 weeks and company cust care tells call after 2 days call after 2 days, they dont have any update. and dont want to even tell me how many more days ...
worst service ...

Hello Guys if you planning to buy Htc One V don't buy it becuase it's a waste of money as per my experiece what i faced is first you will get the problem on Bluetooth it will show you turning on.... after that phone will get shut down, again it will get restart really am fed up by this gadget,GUYSSSSSSS Don't never and ever think to buy this phone worst forever... bye tc

Don by this phone. The camera is good. Otherwise U will have to buy a basic phone too for calling and texting as u cant to any of these in this phone....

My problems with HTC One V
OK, so the following are the problems I have with my One V (PLEASE SOLVE NO. 1, 4, 6 FIRST!):
1. The Stock Messages App.
The stock Messages app on my One V got slower and slower and now it takes about 1 minute to open a conversation.
Moreover, if I want to send a message to someone, the contact name never appears when I type his/her name in the recipient text box.
To send a message, I have to open any conversation which I have in my Inbox and then when it opens up, I have to again go to compose message and then everything works fine. What's the problem?
2. Cannot view vCard Files.
When I open a VCF File, it asks for 'Contact under account'. And when I select one, all the contacts automatically get copied to the selected account. I want to view the contacts in my vCard file before copying them. How to do so?
3. It's Super Laggy
Now it's been a month I've use my One V and it has started lagging. Even updated to the latest Firmware update available in India, but nothing helped.
4. The Stock People App
The People app on my One V has become slow. I don't even have large number of Contacts (about 50)...
5. Temple Run
Gets stuck when I play Temple Run.
6. USB Tethering
First of all, when I connect my phone to my PC, the options for selecting Disk Drive, Charge Only, etc. pop up after 1 min. Earlier they appeared immediately.
Next, USB Tethering doesn't work every time. When I select USB Tethering and tap Done, the disk drives (HTC STORAGE and Removable Disk as they were named by default) are unmounted, but my PC does not get connected to the internet. After trying a lot of times (by unplugging the phone from the computer) it works once (I mean works after trying for at least 4-5 minutes). Why does this happen?

My HTC One V has been awesome....for 5 months no complaints. Today it died call ed Virgin mobile they said hold power and volume down button at same time Got charge light to come on even though phone was not on charger The they told me to prees power button one a white screen came on with options fastboot, factory reset they said choose factory reset i said can we try fastboot which worked put in sd card then restarted for to get service SO Virgin was able to help me

its waste of money, it so slow, i dont like to use it, but i dont have the money to by another phone, but when i get the money im thorw this out, i dont want to sell this phone because it is so bad.

I've had this phone for more than a year now. The problems started immediately after walking out of the store. Horrendously slow - your messages will take at least 5 minutes to get loaded (yes, that is 300 seconds full), half the time you can't make calls, you can't download any new applications because the dear phone will become ill, you cannot browse the internet with ease. The only saving grace for this phone is good camera and that you can read your pdfs quite well.
This is the WORST phone ever. Is there a way to sue HTC? Because for the amount they're charging for this phone and the amount of frustration you go through in dealing with this phone, I need a refund with an interest.
