I read the review and they don't speak kindly of the stock web browser. Web browsing is a deal breaker for me so not good.
The general processor and graphics performance was quite highly spoken of. Video recording was poor and photos were average. They said that the display was really good but the available memory was poor (but it has an expansion slot).
Amazing when they recommended alternates that the Sony Xperia Sola did not get a mention as I see that as the competitor. Given that it will run a dual core, will focus on web technology and will not be so tall (the One V 120mm is very tall for a 3.7" device) the Sola may be preferable for many people.
The Sola has no expansion slot though and so you have to get by on the 5GB (out of 8GB) usable internal memory.
Both the One V and Sola only have 512 ram which is a bit poor for ICS (which reserves 340mb for the OS).
I can't wait to compare both reviews on here. For me the HTC One V seems to come up short at the moment.

So obviously the external card will be needed for additional photos, video and music.

What the fudge?? Only 1gb internal? Is this some kind of joke? One of the major reasons to buy this phone was its internal memory, I thought it would be around 2gb. What to do now I am confused.

[deleted post]I've asked the price at almost all the leading mobile dealers.......the cheapest price I got in hotspot mobile stores....other than that in Spencer plaza one local dealer is having price as low as 17100 INR.

Hi , i got the mobile very recently,everything is perfect ,excellent video quality and average sound ,fast browsing but there is no internal memory 4gb, only 1gb is present .Iam not sure why they have mentioned 4gb internal memory in the specifications

Anonymous, 06 Apr 20123GB is for the OS... you have the option of an SDcard you know?3 gb is not just for the OS, but probably for the pre-installed apps ...etc.
Otherwise, how would Galaxy Y with 250+ memory can run gingerbread. The OS itself should not take that mush space.

I bought this phone on 5th april....it is awsome and quality maintained.
but itz mentioned in the specifications that internal storage is 4 GB and i can see only 1 GB in my mobile in storage area...PLZ sb tell me the reason ....

if you love apps more, Go for iPhone.
Samsung(android) sets are easy to repair but they always look cheap compared to HTC or iPhone.
how about Samsung omnia W(windows platform. PPI is too good and it has a great look.
A new one is always better than a old one.
