Just bought this phone, anyone can advise, this phone after using less than 5mins is hot. Got burn mark of redness on my thigh while place inside my pocket.
Anyone experience this?

Dude its been 24 hours since i bought this phone, I am experiencing terrible Heat and Battery prob, any solution for this. Even jus minimal browsing is producing more heat..............

Guys am willing to buy this phone soon but am really worried about the browsing problems and all the blinking stuff i saw on some previews :/
Is it a problem related to the phone itself or a software problem that can be fixed later with some update.
Would appreciate an expert point of view/experience please

Nick, 21 May 2012Guys, I am worry about battery life of this phone. before b... moreHardcore user are a very vague terms :). anyway, if you cared about the phone, you should have readed the comments..and in the very next page is a comment about the battery life. But probably you are too busy to search so I'll copy paste it here for you:
"There's no correct answer or this, 'cause there are a lot of variables that influence the battery life:
1. Your style of use. If you are a hardcore user this may not be the phone for you..you should get Motorola Razor Maxx. If you still want the phone in those conditions, you should have a charger at the office and, eventually, a mobile charger like this : http://www.amazon.co.uk/New-Tr...xgy_ce_img_c ; But if you are a normal user HOX's battery will last ad least 12 hours. Mine lasted ~24 hours with 30% and 15% left at the last 2 charges.
2. Your internet data usage and brightness. To maximize battery you should keep your mobile data off and the phone on GSM mode (not 3G or Auto) and use WiFi a lot. Also the brightnes should be set manually at 30-40%. Of course, GPS location is off (those are my settings and i activate 3G and mobile data when i don't have WiFi coverage..it takes around 15 secs). There were reports of a bug related to Autobrightness that set the brightness to 100% and after that disable the Autobrightness resulting in fast battery drainage. If you keep your phone on mobile data and 3G the battery will drain a lot faster. Also, remember that the strength of the carrier's signal and WiFi has a great impact on your battery drainage.
3. As far as I know, the ROM and the the radio are different from zone to zone and some are good but some are not so good and they'll have also a great impact on your battery life in a positive or negative way. There are also reports of faulty ROMs, that are draining battery very fast with no reason at all (sometimes after one of the updates)...i didn't have any problem with my HOX so far, even after 3 Updates.
4. Applications that you want to have in background. If you has a lot of those apps + permanent updates from autosync (from e-mail, FB, Twitter, weather etc) the battery will drain faster, of course.
In the end, it's hard to have a correct and fair answer. You should chat with people from your country and the same carrier to see what are the particularity there. Cheers".
PS: There are 3 updates so far for HOX from HTC development center and i'm pretty sure thare will be others as well and everything, including battery life, will improve even more over time.
As an example: today i have used my phone a lot! Watched a lot of trailes on youtube and a lot of FB chat and internet browsing+some apps. Also I had several calls (about 30 min). So the Screen was on a lot: I used 54% of my battery in 7 hours and 30 min and the screen was on for about 2 hours. So i have 46% left, that should keep me for another 6-6.30 hours of use (actually heavy use). If you think that a phone that have a battery life of 13-14 hours of moderate\heavy usage is not good...you should forget about HOX, SG3 ori iPhone 4/4S and buy a Nokia 6310i and a tablet :))

to answer ur question , on any device battery is always a called a consumable device, means it is designed to die with the time , usually a battery will have around 300 to 350 cycles . 1 cycles mean completely charged the battery and drain it completely ,if u charged the battery when it is still good for couple of hours it means u r gonna loose a cycle which might be very costly when we do the same thing on a daily basis. Once the battery completes its 300 Cycles it will slowly reduce the time that it can hold the charge and thats when you start to feel that battery is not holding the charge , thats one of the major reason why most of the Mobile manufacturer provided 6 months warranty to the battery instead of 1 yr. Hope this helps

What is HTC's deal anyway, I hope they do not make stupid mistakes, like making something wanting in their phones. I really do not understand why they could not give one x the same specs as the Evo 4G LTE i.e. at least 2000maH battery and SD card slot. Whereas samsung is giving their galaxy s3 everything they have got right now.
I am sure HTC lost/ are loosing some customers to samsung because of these.

WOW!!! HTC you r the best company so far.this beast is the best phone so far i ve used. whereas samsung sucks big time. specially with galaxy s3 which looks total early 2000 design like a brick.

This phone is crap it can't even play YouTube 1080p video it lags and struggles....
I have a S2 and it plays 1080p smoothly.... That tegray chip is crap comparing
It to Exynos and its dualcore 1.2 and oneX at 1.5 dualcore good for nothing useless phone
