Yes i use the killer task and I don't use Skype and ... moreBefore this phone, I was mainly using the SE Arc S, also have Skype installed. Although Skype drain battery on any phone, but it seems a serious issue when having Skype installed in the ONE X.
Yesterday, I got over 30 hours of usage with one full charge, but today, it's a different story again! ... only approximately 6 hours of standby; and similar usage as yesterday, the phone used up 36% of the battery (Skype not signed in). So what's the problem with this phone from HTC??!!
Why is the battery so in-consistent or un-predictable? ... this lead me to believe that there has to be some software issue. I'm not an I.T. type of person, so I do not have the answer!
The design & hardware of the phone is good, but I'm beginning to get tired spending time & energy finding the answer or solution to the problem.
This is the second HTC phone I own, the first one being the HTC Diamond, which was terrible except the look.
I ordered another HTC One X, and was going to pick it up next week, but I'm thinking hard of giving up!
I've never encounter this same un-predictable battery life with other brands, namely SE Xperia series, Sony Xperia S, Motorola RAZA, iPhone 4, Nokia N8, nor Samsung Galaxy S2/Note.
What's wrong with HTC ONE X?!

Definitely I can say One x battery is better than Samsung galaxy S3 2050 mAh Li-Ion battery.

I have been using the phone for one week now and I was surprised with the performance of the battery. Perhaps due to Tegra 4-an-1 technology the phone do consume much less battery when not being used hence the long life. When I am at the office i dont have much time to play with the phone and only answer and make few calls (8/10 calls each max 5 minutes per ) and what I found after 43 hours I still had 30% charge left and this is way too good compared to say HTC Sensation XE or Sony Xperia S or Galaxy S2 all of which I have used. The design and built of the phone is simply gorgeous color quality much better than an AMOLED. I am just a bit worried for the camera lens getting scratches as it is so much protruded don't know why HTC does that (in the case of XE it was much inside the cover so better protected).

Htc one x 1.28 update removed all the bugs laging fix .. camra quality more fine , battry life more fine , Browsing To fast on gOOole chorme ...... Now what the reason U blaimed HTC one x ?? !

i bought htc one x and i returned it in the second day since my battery last for 3 hours maximum if i use only 2g network and wifi enabled ...1800 mah battery is very disappointed for this device...

My friend purchased one x and I played couple of hours with this baby.
So I have to say,
It’s really better than my sensation. The phone is big but it’s really comfortable with hand.
Polycarbonate body is rich looking than aluminum body.
Sense 4 interface is very beautiful and very smooth.
One X is really superb phone :)
