The same issues happened on the second brand new unit they gave me. I have taken the second one back and now waiting on them to send me a third brand new unit. Third time I take one back they will let me choose a different brand so I will be staying away from HTC from now on.
If it was one unit with the issue, I'd accept the unit was faulty, but when its two then it has to be the model in general. Lets see how the third unit goes.

Yes i use the killer task and I don't use Skype and those types of apps and I kill everything when I put the phone down. The same issues happened on the second brand new unit they gave me. akola, 19 Apr 2012s2 is beter exept 4 quad core.Aahhh well what a dumb comment made by a dumb Samsung fan the s2 is better except for the quad-core!! I think you should add except for the beautiful design, except for the lovely screen except for the better camera and features and except for the latest hardware and software the s2 is Much better then ONE X. I agree with you hands down but there's a slight problem there are many phones that could be better if you include except for the every feature that the phone is lacking to out class the galaxy s2 hahahaha!!!!!

Some comments on the battery after using the phone for a week.
First couple of charges were a bit shocking, but some improvement after the battery charged/cycled a few more times.
I installed the patch yesterday and now a very noticeable improvement. I am at 70-80% charge now, vs 40-50% this same time yesterday.

After "Stop All" task in the "Task manager", and re-boot my One X, the battery is back to normal ... now that the phone still have 46% battery left after 21h 48m 0s - a few phone calls, 10 minutes of web-browsing, and screen on for a total of approx. 20 minutes.

I have been told that 2 GB is reserved on the One X for the internal storage for installing apps. In other reviews, I am told the entire 25 gig is available for installing apps. Can someone please confirm how many gig is available for installing apps?
One of my only gripes with the HTC Desire is I only get 1 gig of storage for apps that won't go on the SD card and that's nowhere nearly enough! I am constantly getting messages saying 'not enough space'.
The Samsungs have 8 gig available of storage for apps. This makes so much sense and I don't know why HTC doesn't do the same.

Oh its so tempting to bujy this fone to put me on till SG3 arrives..I subscribe to a lot of tech sites like most people on here and they say its the best screen they have seen..Now going on that basis and i trust and followed these peole for years the screen must be damn good..I like the Samsung because of the concert hall setting which is not replicated on any other smartfone..I have tried to switch to other devices with Atrix,S/E play and Xperia pro and so on but the settings saying,,Plate ,Large hall etc never work ...These settings could be the effect i am looking for..The concet hall setting just creates this big nightclub sound with boxy echoey bass and glass like tweeter sounds and big acoustic soundstage..Oh well i may try to find a way of trying One X and send it back..OR,,maybe its for keeps depending on sound output..I dont own any mp3 player or camcorder so my Smartfone always does the lot,,from waking me up in morning to listening to podcasts last thing at night..MMMmmm i will have a think.
