AnonD-34382, 09 Apr 2012Hey Craig, Well, HTC has a history with battery life, sp... moreHi Megasipz,

I found the sound quality good through the headphones when listening to music, I did however that during listening to music music would pause and be all jumpy during songs, didn't sound smooth. The speaker sound is not that loud, quiet weak I could say.

I did not find the mobile heat up at all though and found it a good solid phone but battery life I found was terrible and I don't use my mobile with a lot of usage. Look I like Android as its more personalized however I do find Android kills battery quicker then Apples iOS and as much as I find iOS boring these days, I tend to lean back to it mainly because I get longer battery life out of there devices. No Android device that I have used has lived up to the same expectation, my Galaxy SII came close but still died quicker.

These are my personal experiences so each to their own decisions and experiences.

    Thanks

    Craig

[deleted post]Hunter, you obvious an Apple hater and that is fine, however people will compare there latest device to the device they prevusly used, so me it is an iPhone. I've used other android phones such as the following:

      - HTC Sensation: battery power terrible
      - Samsung Galaxy SII - battery better then Sensation
      - Samsung Galaxy SII 4G Lte - battery actually worse then Sensation, I believe of Lte connectivity.
      - HTC Desire - battery terrible
      - HTC One X - battery horrible.

I have an opened mind when it comes to OS platforms and I've swapped between iOS and Android over the past 2 years and I will clearly say that I find Android kills battery life quicker over iOS on the iPhone.

Any android mobile I've had and as you can see from the above, I've used some high end phones and they all seem to perform the same when it comes to battery life. I am coming to see that Apple iOS and iPhone hold there power better then any Android mobile I've used. Don't get me wrong, I love the Samsung Galaxy SII and the HTC ONE X but clearly these high end devices do not live up to my expectations with minimal usage.

Each to their own and point of views, I'm clearly here to state my experience, I am not here to call haters names or convince people not to go to this product but the more people read about others experiences will help them pick whether this device will be for them. I, myself watched numerous amounts of youtube reviews on this mobile and bought on those reviews, I do not regret my buy but clearly not happy with my choice. I see it being sold on eBay and going back to my iPhone 4S for now.

      Thanks

      Craig

you people keep saying battery life this battery life that 1800mah this it should be like that. if you want a perfect phone, go manufacture your own. oh, and i bet that those of you who are complaining didnt even know htc at or you want one but cant afford one.

just to let you people know, the 1800mah battery is not as weak as you thought it were. i use it for a whole day with moderate use. i charge it 6am in the morning leave the house at 8:30 with the phone being fully charged, go to the office from 10am-7pm i make about 30-40 text messages, approximately 30 mins of calls, 2 hours playing music, surf the internet for a total of 2 hours (with many windows that are open) using wifi as my connection. the phone still has about 65-70%%. i get home at around 8-8:15. play some online games and surf the net, again with many windows open for about 2 to 2-1/2 hours before going to sleep. leaving the phone with 30-35% left. i wake up again minus 2-3% at 6am then i charge the phone.

those who are complaining that htc phone heats up, c'mon what phone doesnt? of course if you make calls for more than 30mins, any phone would heat up. using the phone in any case would make it heat up. you've got to be kidding me. all manufacturers suffer from this. if you want a phone that doesnt heat up, then turn off your phone.

if you want to save battery life then put the phone in gsm mode. do not use automatic. just set it to automatic before using mobile internet.

the screen of the one x is very nice even if compared to super amoled, nice camera too. this is 2nd htc handset, one being the desire s. i've also used samsung galaxy s2 and sony experia are s. i can easily say a am happier with htc than any of the other 2 brands.

Ok I have 2 HTC ONE X's - one black and one white.

            My comments are as follows:
Battery life - Not a problem. I'm a heavy user (music, messaging, email, facebook and twitter, youtube and general messing with the phone etc) Battery has lasted a full day from 100% charge.

Speed - That quad core processor does its job well!

Sound - It doesnt come with Dre Beats headphones, I have noticed the clarity and loudness of the audio even from using standard HTC headphones. VERY IMPRESSIVE.

Size - I have small hands and my last phone was a Sensation original. I found the Sensation quite difficult to handle. I think this is mainly down to the thickness of the phone because ONE X has a larger screen and is a bigger phone in general but i find it much easier to hold.

Browser - Very fast. One minor glitch I've found is sometimes when loading a new page, the address bar flickers off the side of the screen. This causes no delay however and I'm sure will be rectified with a software update.

NFC - Havent managed to get this working (although i have 2 ONE X'2 to test with. I will try later and give feedback.

Dropbox - At first I thought I had been ripped off. It gives you 2GB at first. However, you are upgraded to 25GB after creating an account and inviting one contact. (Follow the get started guide; but you only need to accomplish 4 of the 7-8 tasks).

Happy days!! Great phone, well done HTC.

                  HTC ONE X

                  Pro's

Quad core( sufficient for HD gaming and HD video's plus muti task apps)
Good Sized Screen 4.7( Hope can be easily handled by one hand and good for movies , games and browsing as well remote desk app)
Bluetooth v4.0 support( equal to wifi capable file transfer but not usefull currently)
HD media link( excellent accessories which overrides lack of HDMI PORT for screen sharing and video sharing)
gorilla glass for long life scratch proof

                  Cons
Lack of battery capacity as provisioned is 1800MAH( Could be atleast 2000 Mah)
LCD 2 screen being recent upgradetechnology not good enough as opposed to current SUPER AMOLED PLUS HD SCREENS
                  lack of SD card support.
                  Lack of OS optimization

I just got my One X this morning and I'm not disappointed. The screen is beautiful, and colours look as if they're sitting on top of the glass. The battery life seems surprisingly good considering that I've used it non-stop today. Video play back is great, beats makes everything sound huge (I do love bass, and this is the first EQ system I've found that boosts the low end without compromising other frequencies), and most importantly, the Tegra 3 is lightening fast. The UI is intuitive, and drop-box and social network integration is seamless. Easily the best phone I have ever owned. The camera is great, though perhaps a little too much noise. Still, 10/10 for me. Well done HTC, just prioritise rolling out updates over new handsets and I'll stick with you.

                          wot no GPS
What does (Yes, with A-GPS support)
'No' unless you buy an add on, retrograde spec, GPS should be a given, some customers will buy this in error and won't they be P'd off.

Bought the HTC one X. Amazing. wife bought the new iPhone while I was wondering what next to since I bought the samsung google nexus 2 years ago.Got addicted to Android.Has lost faith in HTC after they released all similar phones after Hero.
I feel HTC One is damn good. Its slick and the photo editing is amazing.ICS is superb and pleasure to work.the internal memory is fab. This is the phone to buy for this easter break.
                              Android fan!

Just brought the HTC OneX yesterday. This phone is thinner than my Sony Xperia S. Played with this phone for a just to get the basic set up. HTC UI not as nice compare to Sony UI. The screen is nice, but not as nice as the Xperia S, also apply to the camera. The "Mirror" - front camera, quality not so good either. Ring volume sound on the low side, and in-call voice quality not that great.

On the plus side, the design is nice. Build quality good. Speed is much higher then the Xperia S. I also appreciate that the fonts adjustment are build into the phone. In my opinion, the look is nicer than my Sony.

I'm charging my phone right now - for the first time.

Why does HTC make great phones but sells itself short on the battery? With a 4.7" display, I would expect nothing less than a 2000mA battery. I dumped HTC for Samsung for this sole reason. Even the Nokia Lumia 900 with a 4.3" display has a 2000mA battery!
