Anyway the Note 4 is nearing the end of its update cycle being a one half years old device. However it should have good support from XDA community. So, your decision.
X9 and many other newer devices OTOH have just started theirs.

We could just get in every newer handset (regardless of brands) news article and lament how an older flagship "beat" it in value for money.
Sure it could influence purchasing decision though, just the argument itself is moot.

But HTC has good software (interms of the UI and smoothness) and a decent charming hardware with a solid built quality

It's a good looking phone front is good and renders back photos of m10.
5 inch 1080p will be good put 3500mah made it a bit thick no problem.
USB type-c and quick charge 3.0
Camera should be the best otherwise I'm not seeing any improvements in market although I love HTC

If htc kept this design for the m10 it would be the best. Especially the front facing speakers

apart from their being no finger scanner the design of this phone is absolutely perfect. I suggest htc use this design for the htc 10 and just put the finger scanner where the home button is and KEEP THE FRONT FACING SPEAKERS!!! Then the htc 10 would be the best

I accept your comment but not totally and 100%.you said X9 and galaxy A series are each other rivals and ... and I accept that but I think and I'm sure that htc X9 is better than galaxy a5 and a7 with lower price.as you know htc X9 has 4k video recording and real dual sim and dedicated sd card slot (with 200GB support against 128GB but not very important) and dual front speaker and ...also galaxies have many adv like finger sensor and .... but totally x9 is better even in GPu . at the end appreciate of your last comment. be happy and good luck

k, 16 Feb 2016True, but Mediatek puts many people off.This is the high end chipset which can compare with snapdragon 810. The benchmarks of both chipset is very close. Also SD810 has heating issue, that's why many manufacturing company uses mediatek chipset. Mediatek Helios X series is the good performer. No doubt. You can use any device by this chipset, then provide your feedback.
