Alam, 09 Apr 2012Will this phone will work with t mobile USA on 4G. Per its ... moreOf course it will work with T-Mobile; They have a 1900MHz 2G GSM network.
Oh, you want 3G? Yeah, that's supported too... GSMArena is bad about saying 1700/2100 to mean AWS. It's confusing because AWS is not compatible with true 2100MHz (UMTS Band I, which the AT&T One X also supports.) The problem is that they say 1700 and 2100 to indicate AWS, which undershadows whether it has real 2100 (Band I) support or not (which may confuse many importers overseas!) If the device does, it can't be said using GSMArena's way of stating things. They should just say "AWS".
The AWS support is part of the recent AT&T - T-Mobile 3G roaming agreement. T-Mobile devices with 850MHz or 1900MHz UMTS can roam on AT&T 3G network, and to reciprocate, AT&T is putting AWS (1700/2100 split band) support into their new devices, to enable roaming on T-Mobile's 3G network. This is an extension of the 2G roaming agreement they already have in place. (Although it is worth mentioning that older AT&T 3G devices will be able to roam on T-Mobile's 3G network in the places that they've planned on tuning the 3G network to 1900MHz using their existing 2G licenses - part of their LTE rollout)
Given that the specs also state it supports AWS LTE, it's also likely (but not guaranteed) to be compatible with T-Mobile's planned LTE network as well.
The One X for AT&T also supports true 2100MHz for international 3G roaming.

Source for T-Mobile 1900MHz 3G: http://blog.t-mobile.com/2012/03/13/t-mobile-expands-4g-network-to-new-cities/ - quoting: "We are also going to make more effective use of the spectrum we already have by refarming a portion of our 1900 MHz PCS spectrum to support HSPA+ services, which frees up additional AWS spectrum for LTE. Please let it not be a fluke on the spec sheet.... According to this the phone has HSDPA 850 / 1700 / 1900 / 2100 which should Allow it to work with T-Mobile... Am I wrong??
