I have the Orange SPV700 version and have had it for a week now.
The phone gets a good signal, picks up 3G and Edge ok, the WiFi works well (a bit slow on forst web site access though) and is small enough for the pocket but large enough for the SatNav to work well in the car.
The SatNav is great, just tell TomTom you are an NMEA on Com9 and hey presto!
Pairs well with the car hands free system without the echo I used to get with my earlier SPV M2000.
All in all, well impressed, and with Orange Uk, it ships with tailored car holder, mains charger, car charger, USB lead, headphones, belt case and screen protector. Not much to buy then.

Thi HTC phone is sold by Orange in the UK as the SPV M700.
In there specs it does not have GPS even though the phone has it included, Orange just don't seem to want to market that feature of the phone?
I am trying to decide between this phone or the O2 Orbit which is the HTC P3300 (Artemis)!
Cheers now

Yes, GPS working with really good satelites adquisition. And yes, you can heard the voice commands with your earphone jack. Also, exists some software utils, not from HTC, to heard it across your bluetooth paired speakers.

The new official ROM update from HTC is now available! The GPS works! I am running iGuidance 3 on my phone.
Instructions: once you download the ROM, hook up your phone to your PC and make sure Active Sync is running, then double click the ROM and follow the instructions. go to http://www.howardforums.com (copy and paste that link to your browser) - and search for "P3600" and you'll find a thread for the new ROM update. cheers!

Just bought this phone from Orange UK. After tested, Im decided to return it. The reason was it got not normal earphone plug. You have to use their original earphone which is mini usb type.
Secondly, the body built quality not very good. may b only happen on orange type. you will c alot of small gap, which not seal proper. If you are the ukuser, the 3.5g (HSPDA) is not available yet, may b it wont available in future. so don't care too much about this function.
Third, the software. Plz be aware, it got no Msn messenger, no autoconfig, no Microsoft Outlook. If you download from Microsoft website, you have to pay for it. And for phone dial software, it is totally useless.
But, for the performance, it is very good. I had to install skype. it run very well and no problem at connect through wifi.
If you would like to get one of this, for my personal view, it is ok for the beginner.
Finally to say I'm going to wait for the o2 zinc.
