My advice to you all whose having plan to buy any PDA which using Microsoft OS, is just reconsider your plan. Yes, Microsoft is good in PC/PDA, but when it comes to cellphone, Microsoft is quite frustating. Slow, oftenly "guessing" when using it, battery drain very fast. Please use other platform cellphones, i prefer myself symbian, siemens or palm garnet. It is much much more intuitive than Microsoft.

I just bought this device recently in Hong-Kong (10 days ago) and have been quite happy with it. The negatives are is that the screen quality under the sun is quite poor (great in normal conditions though), the sound from the earphone when making or receiving calls is very poor, I can barely here the other side and the other side can barley here me as well. When using the speakerphone, the sound then is pretty clear and loud and I can hear the other party quite well but the odd thing is that the other party can not hear me well. When using the bundled headphones for using the phone the sound quality is quite good and the other party has no problems hearing me either. The MSN seems to be a bit slow at times and seems to hang as well at times. Everything else seems to work nice and smooth. The really odd thing is that believe it or not my nokia E60 and Nokia N73 browser using 3g is much faster then the 3.5G using this device to surf the web. Web pages open up much faster and quicker when using the Nokia E60 and N73 then when compared to the Doopod D810 which is the same device basically. The Nokia also usually has more bars for signal strengths when compared to this phone. The Nokia E60 and N73 also receives e-mails quicker then this device. I think it has something to do with the software that the devices come with. Windows media player sounds great. Put all your music on the SD card and you can listen to all your music on the run. Sound quality of music using headphones is great! Battery life is quite long when the phone is switched off to flight mode but less then half when the phone is switched on. I fyou wish to use this as a phone you will be very frustrated with it but if you wish to have it as a second device while travelling then you will find it quite good. I still prefer to use my Nokia for basic calls over this phone.

Yes, it supports T9 PHONE PAD. A software by HTC not included with this model - but that works very well - can be founded here: http://drabbit.altervista.org/P3600/apps/phonepad.zip

Did his model support PHONE PAD like i-mate jamin/q-tek s200 ? I mean t9 phone pad like on normal phone. It is easier to send SMS. I heard that O2 Atom don't has it.

I also did not get the application CD. HTC pointed towards vendor also - seems someone has messed up somewhere. I'll be chasing up vendor on Monday, but already see this going round in circles.
All the same, great phone - only issue is it being a finger print magnet - but everything else is working out fantastic - glad I waited.

I have it in white, and it's absolutelly gorgeous and works fantastically!
For the moment, who wants gps should buy a bluetooth gps receiver, to mount in you car. I will do that, 'cause I already have the Navigation software for my country installed (and loads of other programs :> )
The price is about 700-750 euro in my country (in Eastern Europe)

I Mailed HTC and asked then about GPS on this model and there reply was as follows:
The HTC P3600 currently does not offer GPS Functionality. There is a possibility of an update to enable the GPS functions of the device at a future date, and we hope to be able to do this as soon as possible, but we cannot and do not guarantee this. If you buy the P3600 for possible future GPS functionality, you do so entirely at your own risk

Hi, I'm in United States & using Cingular. I'm looking for my very first PDA phone & decided to go with this phone.
I know Cingular supports the TyTN (meaning you can use email, get online & all). My question is if I get this phone, how do i get it works with Cingular as in terms of getting online, using web browser, ect besides making & answering calls??
Thanks for your help.

i got this fone eirlier this week i had the htc tytn before bt would recomend it to any one looking for a pda phone who dosnt want one too big. its fast, has loads of functions and the internet speeds are similar to broadband if you use the opera mini browser. the battery is a bit poor though, comes with a 1500 mAh battery and its needs charging regularly. 10 out of 10
