HTC Rhyme and desire S : same specs but Rhyme have Sense 3.5, larger internal memory (1 gigabyte user available), active noise cancellation with a dedicated mic, lots of accessories (charm, dock, headset, USB cable and charger), thinner than Desire S (11.6mm) while Rhyme is (10.9) and 8 Gigabyte SD card included.
so go for Rhyme is better than Desire S
and my advice to u, keep away from Samsung, i had Samsung galaxy Hang (sorry i meant FIT) but i sold it and got Rhyme because it's a crap phone always hang and the software isn't compatible with the hardware.

they are very similar except in camera, sony -8 mp- and HTC -5 mp-.

i need to get a new phone, HTC most preferrably..but i have no idea which to get....i need help.. im a normal user.. basically for calls, texts browsing and reading files..i need one with a good battery, very good battery....but not too expensive...thank you..

HTC Incredible S is better than Rhyme , I personally used it and it is a very strong phone

Incredible s : Better Camera 8 Megapixel with flash and recording video with high definition 720p@30fps but the screen resolution is so low (480 x 800 pixels, 4.0 inches (~233 ppi pixel density)
Rhyme : Better screen resolution (480 x 800 pixels, 3.7 inches (~252 ppi pixel density)with 5 Megapixel Camera with flash recording video with 720p@30fps so the pics and videos will be so brighter on Rhyme
but if u want a wide screen size go for Incredible S

don't hesitate, HTC introduce Compatible software with Hardware
i had Samsung galaxy fit and believe me it's crab beside any of htc android phones
i sold my fit and got Rhyme
it's awesome and compatible, running HD games with lots of ram and wide space to store ur files
