I agree, HTC Sensation with Sense can get laggy after the first few weeks. The battery life can also get a bit annoying on the stock ROM.

But with the CyanogenMod 7.1 Custom ROM, the phone flies. No lag whatsoever and I'm extremely impressed with its performance and battery life. It lasts 4-5 times longer on this Custom ROM and I believe I'm not exaggerating at all. It can last around 3 days with medium use.

Great phone, but only if you choose to change from the stock ROM.

Stupidly I swaped my 3GS for the Sensation, and it was ok to start with, but I have had to bin it due to a seeminly massive Sense Lag. This issue seems typical of nearly all Android phones. For the first week everything is speedy and smooth, but for some reason the phone begins to bog down and stutter/crash a lot more frequently after said week. From personal usage I can completely confirm this. On my Sensation, the initial week was pure bliss. I had all 7 homescreens decked out with widgets galore and the phone absolutely refused to slow down at all. My oh my, how times have changed. Now the phone seems to stutter/lag a lot more frequently and it’s quite annoying. There is no reason why Qualcomm’s 1.2Ghz Dual-Core Snapdragon processor cannot handle Sense 3.0, and if it can not, HTC has no right to put extremely high-end software on a device knowing the hardware can’t keep up.

I got the Sensation when it first launched over here in the UK, and many users, including myself, complained of the horrid unresponsive touchscreen; it simply wouldn’t register your touches or keep up with fast swipes. One common thing seems to be, that all UK users mention, is that this unresponsive touchscreen only happened after the first week of use. I can totally confirm this. During my initial week there weren’t any touchscreen issues at all. Oddly enough, right around the one week mark the touchscreen started acting up. Sometimes I have to drag the lock screen ring up 2-4 times for it to actually unlock the phone. More annoyingly, when on the homescreen or in an application, the screen can no longer keep up with fast swipes. If I try to get the carousel going, the screen thinks I clicked on a widget or an app shortcut which makes it impossible to scroll fast. Similarly, in applications/web pages, if I try to scroll fast the phone thinks I clicked on a link when I was actually trying to quickly scroll down to the bottom of the page.

This issue is quite annoying and nearly every Sensation has it in some form after the initial week. I'm not entirely sure what is causing it, but am sure as hell hope it’s a software related issue so it can be addressed in an OTA update. If it’s a hardware related issue, expect HTC to stay on the hush about it; they don’t want to recall millions of phones and have to face lawsuits.

I'm back to my trusted iPhone now. It's simply the real deal.

having low battery life problems ?

This is what to to to increase battery life:

look for power or processor monitoring apps on android market, this will tell you whats using power so that you may deactivate that app.

Look for battery saver apps on android market.

Once i did all this my battery life lasted 2-4 times longer, so its definatley worth a try.
