Any one installed any separate media players for this phone. WMP really sucks particularly during fast forward and rewinds.
TCPMP wont install in Winmo6.1 neither do the DIVX mobile player, anyone have any suggestion for a Better Video / Media player.

w85, 20 Aug 2009I open my wifi whole day and use it around 6 hours per day,... more"I open my wifi whole day and use it around 6 hours per day, the battery only last one day, is it normal?"
Enabeling WiFi is one of the more battery-intensive tasks one can do on a phone. Only enable and use if/then its necessary.

Here provide battery check step to asssit you further define the battery usage, you can take referrance to that and conclude if battery is normal or abnormal.
1. Charge the battery to 100%.
2. Tap the task manager icon on top of the home screen to disable from running any applications.
3. Go to Start->Settings->Connections Tab->turn on flight mode.
4. Go to Start->Settings->System tab->Backlight or Power, adjust the backlight to the maximum for both "On battery power" and "On external Power", uncheck any option that would set the backlight to turn off.("Turn off device if not used for", "Turn off backlight if not used for")
5. Let phone stay idle for 1 hour and check battery capacity.
6. If there is a loss of 40% or more, then this means that battery is faulty and needs to be sent for servicing.
I got this from HTC customer service. They have an excellence service.

I've had my Snap for 2weeks now and still havent got enough of the fone. i've been able to download my movies and full episodes to my fone without any lag
what the specs list doesnt tell you, is that the fond comes with 100MB onboard memory, and thats enough to get you going. the google maps and live search are also quite nifty

I have used this phone for a week now and I dont regret buying it. The big letter qwerty-keyboard and trackball works surprisingly nice together. Any minor hardware-critic is more about deliberate feature-omissions rather then unintended designflaws. For example; I personally would have prefered a separate 3.5 audio-jack. And a really good autofocus 3MP camera. And a digital D-pad for games and traditional D-pad assigned shortcuts + a digital double-commando option working in conjunction with that analoge trackball. And Radio added. But having said that: the 2MP camera for example is one of the better in the fixfocus-camp, that I have come across. And I absolutely love that fat letter-querty - and the really long batterylife.
The software is Windows mobile v6.1 - and, well; either one like it, or one dont. For me, it took a couple of days to get friendly and homey with. Its absolutely perfect for E-mail including Internet-based hotmail and Messenger on-the-go (the whole Windows Live concept), I must say.

It have HTC properitary mini USB. But there are lot of USB to 3.5 jack converters available in market for 10$

Hey check use the phone or atleast read the specification before posting anything, this phone has wifi as well as 3G.
What you might have seen would be DASH without 3G its a different phone for US market. Get it from European websites, check for HTC Snap not Dash or S521 or Dash W/O 3G.
