This phone is perfect, dont be fooled! Trust me, I just use it to post this comment in no time and I love it!
I was worried about the apps but alot have returned. Ive had this phone for only a few hours and I already got the hang of it. Its fast as hell and you cant really tell the difference in the screen types.
Its great! Thank you HTC/Google!

m 19 year old guy.m planning 2 buy htc tatoo. dis will be my first touch screen mobile and an android phone. does this mobile support java files and r u nt able to transfer files through bluetooth? m planning to buy dis cell within 1-2 days. all suggestions welcomed. REPLY ASAP!!!!!

If people understood what these phones can do, they wouldn't waste money on an iPhone. I've used my android phone as a WiFi access point for several PCs and handhelds....at the same time. You can copy files / off the PC (or just delete them) without having to use iTunes. It's just like a handheld PC. With the Estrongs File Manager, you can also access windows / samba file shares. You can install ftp clients and there is also an FTP server for your phone. There is a Bittorrent client if you're lucky enough to have unlimited bandwidth / month. There are now close to 18,000 apps for android and the number is rising rapidly. Even little things: Android lets you save images off web pages at full resolution instead of the over-compressed images iPhone lets you save. This is just a tiny taste of all the things android lets you do that Apple won't. NO iTUNES! You can do what you like with your data and load songs and videos from any source.
iPhone is great.....but Android is the free, open smartphone OS that Apple chose not to make.

Why i liked this phone :
1- Anderoid
Why i didnt liked this phone ?
1- No equilizer in player ( i purchased Senhizers )
2- No free PDF , Word reader
3- Application keep on running ( grrrrrrr )
4- Battery ?????????

I've just had this phone and it's amazing! Small, light, nice design and everything works perfectly.
I also love the radio.
Just one thing I don't like: the camera and photo quality but who can ask for more from a small phone like this?

"Or do they plan to sell this phone only at the poles???" -- Dunno, I think rather South pole! (because of some scientific expeditions going on there)

n's, 02 Dec 2009so what ur oppinion bout this phone? is it really gud?This phone is good for those who want a not-too-expensive touch sensitive smartphone! The phone itself is good, but it failed to meet MY very own requirements. My previous opinions is based on this reason! Again, it's just another opinion!

Your choice between these 2 just depends on your own expectation! First, read my last opinion about this device (which I posted minutes ago). On the other hand, HTC Magic is a well designed phone, but its greatest disadvantage is that it has a very high radiation level! Which means it can endanger your health!
If u care about your health then better not buy this HTC Magic and you should go for the Tattoo!!

REASONS why I don't want to buy this phone:
1. Display is small, not so convenient when typing messages!
2. D-pad is way too large. If it were smaller, it would make the device "MORE" pocket-able. In other words, a bad design! HTC made it this large just to lower its price!
3. Again, display too small -> this means you can put less widgets on ur homescreen, compared to HTC Hero!
4. It's a non-capacitive touchscreen. For a display this small it's not worth your money! Believe it!
