I have been using this phone for 3 days now.
There is no better smart phone on the market. Amazing device. The video performance needs improvement, but video is not very important to me. I have used GPS with tom tom cards for whole europe, excel, camera, internet, email, calendar, sms, mms, the phone, you name it and I am extremely satisfied with this phone. In Switzerland it is available now at digitec.ch for CHF 809 and you get 190 CHF reduction if you prolong your contract with swisscom. The touch screen is absolutely responsive enough for everything I did so far (minus the video).

Personally speaking, I can say that HTC products are good. But the strange thing is why it keeps hanging. Irregardless of whatever condition it is. I had a Dopod C730 which was excellent. After that, I went for a Dopod U1000.It was the worst experience I ever had. It hangs at least 10 to 15 times daily with its Bluetooth connection going off on its own. HTC Customer Service sucks!

There is a lot of rubbish going around about this company on false bases. SARS is just an example. People with a real personality disorder and of course a lot of time (lack of social life and perhaps employment) to dedicate for this as they want to force the company to do what they want. I dont care less about graphics through games and movies. Thats not why I buy it. Beside the GPS works fine even if jumping frames as the youtube (TyTn II) shows. And I dont really know if this is the case with cruise as well.
Just cork it and what you want to write att TyTn II instead of the cruise.
I am now more determinat in pruchusing this. I live in Sweden and sickned by both SE and Nokia for there bricks.

>> Is it HTC Radiation - 1,72 W/kg SAR ????
The FCC requires 1.6 or less so that would disqualify the device for the US market.

I have just bought one. It worked for 1 hour. I followed the instructions from brochure “Read Me First” and I set a password 4 digits, then all worked wonderful. After a turn off then on it asked the password but the touch screen didn't work at all. I read the main manual it said that it had a soft reset button, I pressed that one but still got to screen to enter the password and the touch screen still didn't work. I tried then a hard reset (GPS button plus Internet button plus soft reset button, keeping longer on hold the GPS and Internet buttons) to erase all personal information. It didn't work it gets just in soft rest, no message on screen like “This operation will delete all your personal data...” as the manual says. Impossible to do a hard reset after many planned attempts. The phone is stuck with no working touch screen. After several soft resets it says that I entered too many times a wrong password and to enter a1b2c3 then to try again; but no keyboard on screen and the screen is not responding to any touch. Piece of crap for $750.

It is very bad news to me. I have been waiting for this phone to show up, but now HTC is forcing me to look for something else. Worst thing is the way they justify their intentions. It is very disappointing.

Thanks dear friends for pointing it out!
Its just like buying a Ferrari with its accelerator locked to 100mph! Ofcourse you can drive it and it has the engine power. But just cannot perform to its power. I QUIT!

I'll not go for this device until HTC provides a proper graphic driver. It is sad to hear that HTC is justifying the poor performance (even there are several videos to support this). It shows their so called dedication towards a better service for their valuable customers. Also it is a absurd nonsense to say such a comment when similar competitors are able to get most performance out of the same Qualcomm processor. It is also sad that Qualcomm is keeping silent on this (Maybe they don't want to lose their customer HTC; but HTC doesn't have a heart/ dedication towards their customers. Please don't try to justify the issues, try to fix them coz customers are putting in a lot of money into these devices, hence they have the right to request for the maximum out of it (especially when the hardware is capable, and when the software can't bring the maximum out of it)
Finally HTC you are best so far in providing WM devices. Don't let your name drop because of some issues of this kind.

I don't want a full multimedia.. I just want fair value for my money. Is it too much to expect? If i'm going to buy a phone with GPS and maps but its graphics drivers are slow, what is the idea?
