Folks, I almost made my mind to buy an HTC cruise, but a friend is encouraging me to get the Nok-E71 as it has the option of downloading the maps and using it offline.... is this available in the cruise? Down here in Egypt the GPS is banned, yet I just love to have the maps support.
Can anyone advice back... thx a lot.

For the cube move ur finger from the middle bottom to the center of the screen. The cube comes up automatically. Then move ur finger sideways to view other options of the cube.

Not only that htc has super support to Skype, Google talk, yahoo messanger etc. And also u can convert your phone as a I phone by I phone themes.
Not only that u can set animation in your htc mobile to link with your alaram. Example am putting a dancing baby in my htc and link to alarm when alaram ring the baby is danceing in the screen.
There are so many good features are htc.
Hardware problems:
As a reserch i found HTC must have provide more RAM to fexible the video mode. When u start the suit it too diffcult to manage very very poor profermance than old imate PDA.
Some time FM Raio is hanged, Blootooh hanged.
Otherwise over all performance is good

Hi veryone. I just want to ask how to customize my home screen. I have the Windows Mobile 6.1 installed in my Touch Cruise. Just wondering how will I use or view the Touch Cube feature. Please help. Thanks a lot :)

this is such a ood phone i own a blue one it doesnt have alot of problems. for a cheap touch screen/smartphone ot os relli good buy the screen is perfecr i put the guard on and it still responds perfectly with out me putting more pressure on it. i think it needs to be upgraded though so go to htc.com and upgrade it its free!

My HTC touch cruise cell drop and got scratch can i get a face that is changing my phone from black to say red . If so where on the internet i can purchace purchase one or what should i type in on the internet to purchase the phone face. Thank u and await your reply urgently because i dont like my phone scratch and everyone i show my HTC touch cruise like it and need one to buy .

i woul like someone to help me...i waant to buy 1 smartphone...and im thinkin in the HTC cruise and the ipaq 190..but i have some questions about HTCcruise..does somebody know if theres any problem with the touch screen?? i meant if it responds 100%% well?? and about the way of typing messages in the touch screen, it looks a little difficult...and what phone would you recommend me?..thank you a lot

I upgraded to 6.1 and to be frank i like the ver 6.... moreI quit trying to upgrade to 6.1 .In Egypt GPS is not allowed and HTC does not have a 6.1 version with disabled GPS so for us here it's only WM6, so it's good news for me that the 6.1 is not better or at least not to the extent that makes upgrading a must :)
I was about to use one of the roms available on the net then I realized that I may loose the arabic support which I need for messaging also some of those roms eat battery faster .. On the other hand the roms available for other Arab countries have Arabic menus as well and I hate that. So thank you for your update about the WM6.1 now if you have a trick to enable GPS I'll be gratefull :)

I upgraded to 6.1 and to be frank i like the ver 6.0 better. Its a bit slower and the texting is like as if u are chatting, which i didnt like because i need to forward alot of messages

other than that nokia is way better than htc cruise and nokia has an excellent price for a touch mobile

master2009, 01 Jan 2009i would love someone to tell me which to buy htc cruise or ... moreI have the cruise which I love... Although as any other mobile it has its bad points. So nothing is perfect I guess :) I don't have the Nokia 5800 but used a lot of Nokias before
Things depend a lot on how you like your equipment ..Simple and does the task (Nokia) Full of possibilities and plug ins (Cruise)
1- The cruise is a windows mobile which is a whole category with a lot of software replacements to what it offers when you first buy it while the Nokia is a symbian
(I already added a scientific calculator, a dictionary, a stopwatch, a timer, a bible, a very nice video player capable of playing a lot of extensions including divx ..etc.)
2- The cruise has a faster processor and larger built in Ram (better performance ??)
3- Cruise has Office editor and PDF viewer
4- The Nokia has an accelerometer
5- I think the camera on the Nokia will outperform that of the cruise (any camera will)
6- The Nokia has an audio 3.5 standard not the USB style of the HTC
7- The Nokia will have I think better out of the box profiles for office/outdoor/silent ..etc
So it all depends on how you like your phone ... Good luck with YOUR choice :)

In terms of hardware it is a very good phone (been with me for 6 months, never a problem). However, in my opinion, the software has to be customized to make the phone faster and smoother.
