It is so terribly slow that I'd like to throuw it out of the window.
So only if you don't like speed it's a nice machine for you.

nagy: i have a touch cruise, bought one half a year ago. i really like the device, it has its minuses but they are very small since no device is perfect. i have seen people complain about touch cruise but i haven't experienced any of those problems, i did the upgrade to 6.1 its very easy to do it. go to htc.com but after the upgrade i started to experience few software problems like slow response and freezing, but it doesnt happen often. i guess if u choose this device u will be overly satisfied with it since its powerful enough. but to tell u the truth there is no guaranty u will get the device that will give problems, but thats with any device.

Hi everybody :)
I am doing my H.W about the available windows mobiles and the Cruise seems like a good choice specs wise. Although I like the look of other HTCs more but when it comes to value for money I guess it's on my short list. Now my question is has anybody tried upgrading the software to WM 6.1 and was this easy ? Also are there enough available 3rd party good applications? I'm new to WM and can't tell by just googling I need the opinion of somebody who really owns the set

My must have specs are:
+ 3G with video calling (not just 3G like touch 3G)
+ Windows mobile 6 or 6.1
+ Touch screen with handwriting recognition
+ Good battery
+ A decent camera but not a deal breaker

It is by and large a good phone but as of today for the same price better phones of same breed (wm6.1) are available from HTC, samsung, Sony etc
