have been using this phone 4 a week noe and totally satisfied with at first i was mad with the touch screen then i got used to it and i found out mp3 sounds flat but i was able to find out that u shuld always put ot the audio booster b4 playing the mp3 after then u can put it on.am so lucky my diamond is fast withot any tweak.i recommend this fone,it is sexy and complex

They are NEW to sel... moreno thats absolutely wrong, its network branding that often ruins phones.
always better sticking with what HTC want to run on their phones, plus you get the updates

had this phone for about, 5 days, and i am quite happy about it. the phone, at time lags for 1-3 secs this isnt a big matter, but gets pretty annoying when im trying to look for something quickly. the battery life is horrible, first day, after being fully charged my battery lasted about 15 hours. which is pretty brutal since i call very often. the signal is like all other pda-like phones. it isnt very good. but, the design is very nice, the applcations and functions are very useful. this phone, in my opinion is a good buy for people who dont mind spending a large sum of money on a good phone

to those looking to buy, htc gives a list of suppliers on their website to whom they sell directly.. http://www.htc.com/www/where_to_buy.aspx .. i've gone through the uk suppliers, and insight, handtec, clove, and devicewire offer the best prices with a good return policy.. and some of those sites claim expansys.com to have shipped in "grey imports" - i.e. the initial release in asia with the lag problems.. this was fixed before official shipping to europe from htc happened.. hope this helps somebody!

I don't know if anybody had this problem, but I tried to place the order on a couple of websites (eBay at first), but my order was canceled three times saying it's out of stock. I just called www.cellswholesale.com and they said it's in physical stock, but I'm hesitant...has anybody had this problem?

OK, I have used this phone for one week, live in Europe and touch flo 3D works quite well, fast enough and mem use without any open prog is about 51 %, so quite different number I have read here. The ROM version is 1.35. 000.0 WWE . Battery life is poor, my opinion too fcking poor else I am quite happy what I have bought.

I've been using it for a month or more, its a nice fone every things good except the "Battery Life" also my fone quite often goes in the mode of " Launching Touch Flo 3D " which is quite frustrating at times
any ways any body has any better solution in hand for battery as if any one manufactured a battery more then 900 Mhz?

HTC is a great device designer and ODM
They are NEW to selling direct to customers
It is better to buy HTC-made devices from mobile operators like O2, Orange, T-Mobile etc who have years of customer service experience and good feedback history to tweak good features into the OS software

I fully endorse your viewpoint, and also marvel at the patience you have shown in order to reach a reasonable experience with the device,
my gripe is that, at that level of price, and given the amount of time that HTC had to develop the product, they should have done a much better job, straight from the box,
phone manufacturers should realise that the windows mobile OS is essentially a naturally pregnant , lumbering system, it taxes resources and when you incorporate touch flos and 3 d graphics, its further going to head south ,
i waited a long time for an all encompassing device, sadly this doesnt seem to be fulfilling my need, what I have done is to order the xda orbit 2,
points like low battery life are also extremely relevant, manufacturers should realise that such devices are used primarily as laptop replacements, so general usage is at airports, during transit, shuttling between several ofices etc , etc,
battery life should have been addressed at the outset during development, if im advised to turn off, features (essential and the gizmos)to extend battery life, then its pointless,
this has been a massive error on HTCs part,
they are advised to bring in experienced , power users as beta testers and previewers,
anyway, i hope that your experience gets better as the new ROMs and patches come through,

You can expect form a custumor to spent long nights on internetforums finding a solution for its issues. The phone should be ready to go from out the box. With that being said I had have a different expierence with this phone. i must say that Im extremely satisfied with this purchase. I got the 1.35.456.3WWE ROM I know its not the latets ROM issued. I've done quite some reaseach to come to this choice and that helped me in using this phone. My main complaint on this phone is the battery which has been repeated several times here. In my expierence the Touch should be handled with care than its all right. i dont have 3sec lags like some do. Another tip is that the programs you open dont close by exiting them alone. you have to tap the x a the top of the screen where you will see all running programs. My second issue is the memory which seams to leak. With no programs running its up to 72%. I have this as of last monday and everday has been a treat discovering somthing new on this gadget. I was sold by the looks of it (the wow factor is great outhere) and the specs which in my view where better than the Iphone. In the end it was between the TD and the Samsung omnia which has a better camera and the same specs but is bigger and looks kinda doll. So far i did only one tweak which you csan find on the XDA forum to improve the touch flo. Exile its to bad the phone didnt meet ur expectation after six hours. But im sure if HTC updates the rom (possibly along with the touch pro) you should give it another try. I any one has questions just ask.

Here's my experience... 1) Very b... morei think every one combolaned the daimond didnt try the latest rom wich solved alot of the lag problem i think you dont have any pacient for this phone and about the batery there is a problem in it thats true but htc released an extended one with a new back because its more thicker

I bought mine on 14 Jun. Here's my experience...
1) Very beautiful & slim gadget
2) The Touch-Flo is not that responsive, has a 1 sec lag
3) Some functions like the weather didn't quite work despite doing a hard reset as suggested by their CS hotline
4) The phone hang like 2x/day
5) The battery life is not long; nothing like what was advertised. It last me just 8hrs only with 1 4min call, 6 smses, 2 short internet browsing. It got better the next day but battery life's about 10~12hrs
6) The CS don't seemed to respond any email enquiry
7) For those who are not used to touch-screen gadgets, stay away from this. It's too inconvenient especially if you need to send a quick sms while waiting at the traffic-light before driving off
8) I realised that & decided to sell it off 4 days later!

The phone looks great but it´s no quad band like other models or brands as Eten, MWG, O2, etc. In my country works only on Edge band and fails to use 3G. The model was made for Europe or Asia but not for USA or South America. Very dissapointed.
