I have had the Phone for over a yr. at first i thought it was really good but the memory is a pain in the.... it started coming up critical move files or programs no memory left i did that and all that was left were the addresses, phone no's, Birthdays on there and it was still coming up critical, so what are they saying the unlimited phonebook isn't so unlimited if it isn't just on your sim. i had to wipe every thing and start again reboot it. it's a nice phone but a big let down i keep worrying about the memory I no longer have any ones addresses or birthdays on there and all my friends have their name in my phonebook 2 to 3 times, for each no home,work & or mobile. its crap... And Photos well thats another story it can take a really nice photos if your not taking photos of animals or tobblers any thing that moves and can't sit still for a few seconds. and apparently can't download games but thats not too important to the rest of what it doesn't do.

heyyy... i'm thinkin of buying this phone.... is it worth paying so much for touch diamond??
if not, then plz tell me a better alternative for this phone...

I received this phone about 2 years ago. I regret every day I receive a phone call. It has a very very bad touch scarm and verycomplicated to get all the option on the phone. Internet almost impossible to get the best they promissed. I will never bu nothing from this serie

Alek, 30 Dec 2009I tried putting on Windows mobile 6.5 on it today but I cou... moreYou can't flash with 6.5. HTC diamond only can upgrade to 6.1. If you run 6.5, you cannot do multi programs as it will froze up your phone due to the memory is not enough.

Yes,you can put WinMo 6.5,soon you will gen burn your diamond even with Android Os:D. I got a second Htc Touch Diamond today ... I'll come after a few weeks with a review.Good luck people !

This phone is horrible i have had it for 2 years regretting everyday that i bought it. You cant do anything complicating with out the phone failing. I can not receive any files from other P.C because it does ot have that in built.

the phone is very good have used it before the os is very well responding and the touch screen is gr8, and the keyboard is awsum aswell easier 2 text!!

hey guys!! i have a htc diamond which doesnt switch on now. the thing is i had a busy day and the phone battery got dead so i removed the battery and kept it separately for a day. then on the next day i kept it for charging and it wasnt getting charged. when i gave it to the service centre they told it cant get fixed. but i find it hard to digest. does anyone know what to do? thanks!

go to xdadevelopers and flash a WME 6.5. it is so so much better than 6.1. but be sure to flash ROMs with good reviews. cheers!!

Just a couple of coments:
* what kind of battery you use ?
- My phone came with a 1340mAh battery and the specs here on GSM Arena say it comes with a 900mAh one so I'm guessing HTC might have considered a higher capacity battery and I'm luck my device came with one!
* Complains about hit the power button and unlocking the phone while it's in your pocked!
- Well I really don't like to press the power button all the time to lock/unlock the phone.
So I press and hold the end call button and the phone locks in a way that you have to touch the screen where it says unlock and then touch again in a different area where it says touch here to unlock. It's a much safer way to lock the phone and accidentally unlocks are very difficulto to hapen.
On a side note if you don't use TouchFlo interface if you use regular today screen you can put the lock device option there so you don't need to press and hold the end call button. It's up to you.
* Complains about your face touching the screen and giving commands while answering a call.
- When you put the Diamond to your ear, the display automatically switches off to avoid accidental presses due to a embedded light sensor so if your phone is not doing this it might have a problem.
* Complains about the phone being slow.
- Yes that's true. it's not a fast device and if you do open several softwares together it will work really slow and might even crash. So keep in mind that even though it might be considered a small computer it has limitations, it's not a desktop computer.
I wish it was better but it isn't and if you do need a real fast device who can run dozens of softwares there are some options on the market but the Diamond is not one.
It does run a couple of softwares at the same time though with very little trouble, which I belive is more than what a reguler user needs.
That's it, I'll try to come back with more feedback when I have some.

I have some problems with the power button, but other than that I'm happy with it. The ROM 2.03 with the radio 1.17 helped the battery drain issue. It works for me for more than a year. Very handsome unit.
