mixed thoughts are what this phone gives. some of the things it does are hard to understand. with a mediocre or rather lower graded battery, n and obviously lesser battery life, the phone seems to be able to play music over bluetooth, n not show much drop in battery level. calls use up a lot of battery, n phone heats up unusually though HTC claims its not an issue to be worried about. the QUALCOMM 528 Mhz processor only has a big clock speed to boast about, though the performance is even below average. some times the phone lags even when there r no apps running in the background. the motion sensor doesnt seem to understand the rotation in browser, though that seems to be some hitch with the opera browser itself. the camera is surprisingly good with light detection though if the subject is moving even a little bit, there are no chances of having a decent image. the music player doesnt support equalizer over bluetooth, n the only way to experience the enhanced sound is to use the headphone with the propriety jack. as always windows operating system comes with lots of bugs, but the software package is fairly decent. another issue i noticed was with the contacts. god knows where the contacts are stored, n every time u sync with ur pc u have to check to see if the contacts are still there; for some unimaginable reason the contacts disappear sometimes when u sync. for the features it comes the phone is good, but the performance is a huge let down, n a lesson to buyers that an apparently fast clocked processor may not necessarily perform faster. many at times i found the phone as slow as the HTC touch, which has a much slower processor. one thing good abt it compared to many touch based phones is that the touch screen is fairly responsive that is if ur not very used to the iphone(u cant beat its touch response and accuracy) though not accurate at all. i still want to say something good abt this phone, coz i somehow like it despite all the above probs, n yeah not to mention the D-pad is mostly unusable, though the dial which is touch sensitive is a cool innovation, n very usefull. i wish it could be used for navigation.

I got my new HTC Touch Diamond (Sprint) yesterday. I had some problems setting my wallpaper, and loading files for ringtones through the included software. Other than that, I am very happy with this phone.
I wish MSN would provide something other than "trial" software with this product. The registration number I had on the back of the CD ROM was invalid. I plan on using a lot of current files on my laptop for ringtones, and for media player use, but if they limit me to 25 uses before it expires, it will be useless. Any help on fixing this would be appreciated.

Or you could just trawl around google for a ROM to flash your phone? Just have a USB to mini USB cable handy!
