Mystic, 17 Sep 2008I love this handset! Picture is crystal clear and I haven'... moreOkay i havn't got this phone yet but its the same as most windows based phones.... Theres an mp3 trimmer app so just trim the mp3 a bit and then set as ringtone (it will have an option to do this after youv'e done the trimming) Or go onto file manager and save the mp3 you want as a ringtone in the folder "ringtone"

search it on xda-developers forum..
u will find it..
again i'll tell u guys about this phone..
it's simple, if u have PC and can tolerate its lacks then u might be able to tolerate this phone's lacks too,,
remember it's not just a phone, it's a Pocket "PC"..

One of my colleague get this phone immediately when it was launched in singapore. He has been eyeing on this phone since it is released. But to his disappointment, he has never used a phone that is so bad. The batt life can only lasst on average 1 day which means one need to charge everyday! even at low usage. The touchscreen is too sensitive and the OS is not stable. In the end, he sold away after 2 mths and change to E71.

Hi guys. Every time I want to run advance configuration tools ver. 3.2 that I Download from xda-developers, an Error warning appearances that your Microsoft net frame work is old and you need to upgrade it! My diamond ROM version is 1.93 when I bought it.
I try windows Update on phone but no update available! Would you please tell me if you have the same problem? And what am I suppose to do?

I have been using this phone for 3 months now after a Nokia E90 communicator. I regret the change. Theoretically on paper, the HTC Diamond is breathtaking but it has the following serious defects:
Battery life 5/10
Stability 3/10 (so many bugs and halts)
Antenna 3/10 (easily looses signal)
Camera Resolution 5/10
I would buy next any Sony Ericson because their phones are far better

In htc phones is that possible to Record the voice calls (Conversation)
(Unlimited Voice Call Recording) as that’s possible in Nokia phone and that’s also possible without (Beep) this thing for Nokia Phones many 3rd party software’s avail for Turning Off the Beep what about htc?

5-World mate
6-File manager
7-Dictionary
All these I have in my Nokia E71 and All is Important for Me so please tell me if someone using all these and tell me the site where from I also can find these all?

i don't know why some people told this phone a joke..
YES,, it's not a perfect phone,
but it's STILL awesome,
it lacks on some sectors indeed, like no expandable storage, no flash on cam, bat. life not too long..
but in my opinion, it's not a big deal considering it's power feature..
that's just my opinion based on my experience using it for months,
fYi, i keep my diamond up-to-date to xda-developers..
and it makes my diamond MORE shining..
sorry for u guys who don't have time to waste on polishing ur phone and throw this phone right away..
but remember, having this phone = having PC on ur pocket..

I love this handset! Picture is crystal clear and I haven't even begun to discover all the different features. The only downsides I have noticed are:
No expandable memory- this isn't too much of a biggie as there is 4GB onboard, but I spent ages looking for the memory card slot only to discover there isnt one!!
Music volume is not loud enough- I have difficulties hearing the Media Player when using it on the train and you can't turn it up any further.
Also, does anyone know if it is possible to set an MP3 as a ringtone on this phone? I'm stymied as I can't figure out how!!

now I am using HTC diamond you get thousands of this type of softwares which you can't even compare with Nokia softwares,I can email you any software you want or you can download them yourself.anyways you get more softwares for windows mobile and all for fee,

The phone has become fantastic after the ROM update. Its smooth & does'nt get stuck like it did initially.
Even Blackberry Connect software works on it.

Are you all joking? lol! I haven’t seen yet any iphone killer on the market. I went to Giga store of gsm I've seen the differences I touch the differences and feel it too. The OS All have small icons and small tab with letters that is to match on the scene, some of them u need toothpick. Aha ha try before you buy. Long live the iPhone!
