I am eager to get my hands on this phone (HTC Touch Diamond 2)
I also appreciate the fact that it's supposed to come with a removable SD card - the main reason I want the new phone - besides the new TF3D and the excellent screen.
But how in the world will I ever be able to live without a Dpad? It will take a bit of getting used to.

Captain Falcon, 13 Jun 2009HTC Touch HD is better, it's more expensive though...
But ... moreWell .. both have pros and cons. The HD is very huge and reminds you of the old iMate Pocket PC .. and the screen touch is not that sensitive enough. On the other hand, a big screen, a 3.5mm connector, and a better battery I think.
For the TD2, it has a better sensitive screen, screen is sharper in colors, very light weight, and very elegant design.
Theoritically, all S/W working on one should work on the other.

connect ur phone via usb cable
put the file in ur phone
open file explorer in the phone
find the place u put the file
then install
(this is a general way to install cab files)

There are lots of themes for the HD and might be compatible with Diamond 2 but make sure before you install though..

But it's all because of Hardware quality, screensize and battery life.. You can install all the new Roms and features from the diamond 2 to the HD.. And they are working on a software that you can use the sensitive buttons on the HD to swap your finger and work exactly like the zooming bar on the dimaond.. Because the Hardware is same, so you can say that HTC wasted alot of space on the Diamond 2..
