Dear New Undecided readers,
Most basic mobile phones run with the build in software to operate. Some phones (Nokia) runs with S40 that became famous because it's well organized and easy to understand/use. Then they made the Symbian sw to enable to install more interesting and useable programs and optimize the hardware.

Touch HD runs with Windows Mobile. WinMo is like the Windows XP/98 of normal computers. It can be customized and can be installed with compatible softwares. If you're the guy who can stay in front of your PC busy tweaking your software, then you'll love this phone and the rest of WinMo running phones. If you just like surfing the net or sending messages with your mobile, the I think you may check i-phone or other symbian phones.

I own this phone for about a month now but still keep my Nokia E51. My wife uses i-phone 2G and she wont trade her's to mine. I hope this could help the undecided...

Hello. I've been wanting to buy this phone before I go to a university but its really expensive here in the United States. I looked up prices on google shopping and found ones that are 300-500 USD. Are these legit? I know that the regular price is around 700 USD but that's too expensive for me right now. Also, I heard that the price of the HD will drop after the release of the Pro2 and the Diamond2.. When do you think is the BEST time to buy this phone?

love peace, 15 Apr 2009lex thanks, what about touch pro 2 , whether that wil be su... moreLike my friend James said in the previous post, windows 7 is gonna come out late in 2010, so until then You could have fun with wm6.5 "Without multi-touch", if you want multi-touch feature you can get an iphone, but why would you downgrade only for multi-touch? By the way, the dimaond 2 (Topaz) is out, and all its features is now available for the HD..

And for those who don't want to bother playing with the touch HD system and upgrading operating systems.. They can always go for Symbian and especially Omnia HD.. :)

But Symbian is limited, you cant play around with it like windows for Cooked Rom updates and upgrades...

Hello, I'm undecided, I like this smartphone(great features), but also likes the Samsung Omnia HD. In terms of operating system and touch navigation, who's the best to buy?, I know the Omnia HD use Symbian S60 5th edition, and the HTC HD use WinMo, but I want to know the battery behavior, the touch experience, and the multimedia experience between these 2 models (The best choice to buy) ...thanks in advance

Hi users. can anyone suggest me which one is better among HTC touch HD,X1, BB Storm9500 and Omnia i900 in respect of 1.battery life 2.Speed 3.Lots of Options so that I don't get bored 4.Camera (I like Xenon flash but HD has no flash even!!is the picture quality bad in HD compared to others?)-please use rating against every criterion with your opinion.
I prefer X1 but I am bit reluctant for the width of the phone. I prefer a phone which has a modest ratio of length and width for instance apple iphone so that I can read my docs and view my pictures more smartly. For this I prefer HD. Is there any difference in viewing the docs in different OS? I have gone through the specifications of the above mentioned 4 phone sets and it seems almost same specifics (processor, RAM mostly). I think everybody trusts practical experience more than those written specifics. another thing is I am not concerned about the prices rather quality. but if I get same quality in the two different priced phonesets for example I will go for cheap one(surely everyone does this :))

in my country the prices are:
                    HTC HD: US $771
                    X1: US $614
                    Omnia i900: US $528
                    BB Storm9500:US $542

                    Please suggest.

Windows ... moreHi, I am thinking of getting the touch hd but am not sure if its upgradable to WM6.5 or even WM7, since i read that only phones with the windows key will be able to upgrade to later WM versions. also i found a touchflo 3d theme/skin that i would like, its called 'Touchflo Vista 2' chek it out: http://www.lakeridgesoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?p=96377 . where do you download your apps from, i dont want to be using some corrupt sites? also are the updates safe? i mean will they affect the phone in any negative way?

                      Many Thanks.

Love, 13 Apr 2009Dear touch hd user s . Kindly let me know (unbiased opinion... moreSymbian is alot easier for standard mobile users.. Windows is also easy but it is used professionally better, to change system settings and registries.. I would prefer windows because there is unlimited modifications for the settings and you can make the system based on your own personal need by playing around with the registries (Sensitive system settings)..

If you don't wanna have a headache with professional usage go for Omnia HD.. It is my second favourite phone.. But i love windows more than any operating system.
I'm loving the Touch HD and never stop modifying the settings and adding applications to change the themes and styles and also upgrade to windows 6.5 or later.. plus you can add software versions for later HTC phones.. SO what i'm saying you don't have to buy htc phones this summer all you can do is update your HD and you'll still be advanced.. ofcourse the update is done by third party websites..

                                  Hello HTC HD users!!

I love this phone and thinking of replacing my current nokia n95 8gb with this phone. Just wonder if this phone is as loud as n95. I am always on the move and heavily depend on phone for alarm. I don't care about the quality of sound from speaker. All i need is loudness so that I can wake up on time. N95 has two stereo speaker which is very loud. This is the only thing holding me back. Otherwise this phone is awesome.
SO guys how is the speaker volume of HD????

markyclaudesantos@y., 10 Apr 2009kindly help me here guys im encountering a small problm in ... morewell if this is your first time using winmo then i dont blame you, but if your playing music via wmp or any software of the such and you hit the power button it basically suspends the program, so you have to keep it on, the power button there is basically to put the phone into "stand-by," in which you consume less battery and what not, im not sure if there is a way to have it in stand-by and still run the program, but i doubt it.
