got the HD after using the Diamond and Pro for a while and WOW...this really is an improvement...

considering its size, the HD still sits comfortably in hand, the large screen makes it really easy to navigate using a finger (I only use stylus to put in bigger volumes of text).

The phone is noticeably faster than the Diamond or Pro (tested with various ROM's) and the absence of the navigational pad isnt as much of a letdown as I thought it would be...

Battery life is improved as well, with the same usage I used to charge the Diamond or Pro twice a day, the HD does fine with one charge

The only downside of the HD is video skipping in youtube, coreplayer, etc but I think that should be fixed in the near future

highly recommended device, forget your iphones, n97s and whatnot :)

Nokia 5800 can not be compared HTC HD ,Both works on different platforms. Nokia 5800 is an multimedia mobile for youngsters & not a PDA phone. HTC touch HD is for elder Business people who want to check the mail very often..download attachments containing Microsoft Office files like excel or word documents edit & so on.

typically 3 days to drain the battery, today is 8th day on 2nd full charge. On/off having some charge up when sync with my PC.
my daily usage is about 10min talk time and 2~3 hours gaming time.

got it for 1 week, so far quite impressive with the display and battery life. about 50% of the VGA software not compatible with the widescreen yet :(

Other than that quite an improvement over O2 Flame in terms of size and weight and performance.

i would say pocketnow.com will give you a great review. i feel if you were considering an iphone or a WM device, go with touch HD, but if you want a phone with more conventional uses, easy navigation, and video is not that big a deal for you, then touch pro is for you. apart from HD's bigger screen size and better camera, it is basically the same as PRO (but PRO has better screen resolution). Hope that helped.
