One of the great things of GSM ARENAs "users opinions" is that, like in all things we find lovers and hater, users and readers, knower and learners.
Here's my opinion, based on my own knowledge.
I've Had, Siemens, nokia, samsung, sony, sony ericsson, HTC.
And am a mobile phone shop manager.
If you want a phone, absolutely any brand is good.
Whats important is what you want on the side, for exemple friendly user, simple everyday phone, are for the everyday persone "Nokia and SAMSUNG", Then we have the everyday persone that wants to go for something a bit more complete, then they go for sony ericsson(why simply because, there's SONY behind, and sony does and touches everything, so there is a real experiance). Now if we go a few years back to the touch screen univers, well for most non knower it start with the IPHONE (looool), as for those you really know, there is PALM, QTEK, HTC, ...
As for professional phones, the leaders in nearlly all companies is Blackberry (RIM)
People, often, like to compare what they like to everythink else, even thow there is no possible comparaison.
So poeple stop, think, them give your opinion !
Iphone is a good multimedia phone IF, and only if, you have a data contract on the side. As for WinMo, 100% free, you look for soft, you will find soft, and free soft. The best thing of Iphone is "OS" quick reponse, but honestly for most of us everyday day professinal touch screen users, it isn't a huge probleme, maybe even isn't a probleme.
80% of my clients bought the IPhone when it came out, 20% took a data contract with it. So I've had 60% fools that wanted a phone with out really knowing how it work, but it was a stylish phone and everyone had it. LOOOOOL. Out of the 60% that didn't know what they were doing, 30% sold there iphone a got a plain old fashion nokia LOOOOOL.
So please people, if you like a phone, that's great, good for you, but if you want to give your opinion, test the product, a real test please, and the if it's reasonable compare the products.

The screen more respo... moreYou can think you know more the others, but beliave me you dont, I doesnt metter who makes the phone, its the phone itself that metters, did you ever use HD??? or you just waying that the screen is not as responsive becouse you want to beliave that, yes- the app store is areally good thing, but if you have just a bit of brains you can find even more apps on WM, and Tv shows and movies are not a problem at all. And you know what, you can do it for FREE on WM... And yes, omnia is lighter, one of the reasons, phone size... onmia with its 3.2 screen and HD with its 3.8 screen... And btw. Apple is not in smartphone making business since 80's its in it for like what, 2-3 years... so dont make things up just becouse you want to beleave that... you are probobly one of those people that where Armani just becoue its Armani, even if in the next shop there is exactly the same thing, same quality, and even better in some aspects... But no you will were Armani...

The screen more respo... moreSamsung is one of the largest company in making LCD but it doesnt mean samsung also the best in other devices.just like Sony famous in stereo set, TV etc.but for digicam, they never beat Canon.other example is philips, good in lamp and other electronic device, what about mobilephone?
Omnia is quite good but not so responsive.but don't know HTC better or worse.
if u hate HTC product. why dont u leave the sites? just go for the product that u love. no need to hate or love some brand. all the same, keep you wasting money. so pick one and buy. stop complaining.

Why you guys no read before commenting here. I do not buy Iphone or any phone for Camera. I just buy Sony DSC T-700 best camera. My Iphone allow me simply get to informAtio and applications so easy no phone do. I think you do not know enought aboUt Apple Itun Shop with all Podcast, renting movies, TV shows. And application stores. Who has this ? You want wast your Money on Taiwan company in corner of Taipei then Up to you. Apple is been in this business technology since 80's and Samsung in all multimedia business. Do you know all LCD screen of world sold only almost by two company. One of them is Samsung.
Even Nokia have not have easy time to catch up now with Apple and Samsung. The best can do try to bring Nokia 5800 soon so late. Look new Samsung Pixon and INNOV8 with 8M Camera and fast processor. Apple with only one phone are no. 3 in world and that 60% of thier sales and Sameung now no. 2 place kick Motorola and Sony out. Please study before making comments.

I just notice one thing, all photos as introduction of this new HTC device refer either to the weather screen or photo folder.. are these display only the beauty of the UI of HTC TOuch HD? How about today screen menu or home screen, maybe not as good as iphone, maybe black and white like the diamond or htc pro.. just an opinion..

Having had htc products for several years all-be-it under the gize of xda's, the latest model is a huge step forward, great quality product & my partner cant wait to chop in here I3g

Problem with all these HTC dudes that they do not consider the key issue: RELIABILITY!
HTC just not up to any reasonable standards.
Pro-review skip the issue since nobody wants to get over the regular PR talk.
People complain Iphone and Omnia but HTC can not come close to any of them. I wish it wouéd be different because that case probably Iphones include more and better features.

HD has bigger, better screen, more usefull OS, better makera and its thinner... omnia is a good phone, but it doesnt have the huge screen and its not as thinn...
