I ordered mine today from www.handtec.co.uk hopefully should be here very soon. Im hoping that its better than the Iphone & Omnia... im currently using the Iphone and have been waiting to get rid of it for ages, the omnia was a huge letdown. Hopefully the HD will sort out my hunger for a good touch screen phone.

i like it cos its nice, its very nice cos i like it. its black and its a phone which is funny, you can even make calls to friends but i dont have any so i cant. Nice camera to take pics of mates but i dont have any of those either so dont think ill get this phone. billy no mates bunter

Does anyone know anything about the audio quality of this phone? I mean, it has a 3.5 mm jack. But some audiophiles say not to expect miracles from some 500$ headphones (of course, I'm not going to spend that much on them). What I'm asking is about the audio quality of this device without any accessories other than the retail ones.
Samsung Omnia, for example, did a great job in audio quality through the retail headphones. Everyone says that, GSMArena has tested it with RMAA.
If anybody finds anything similar (tests) on the audio quality of Touch HD, please post here. I'm sure I'm not the only one who wants to know.

Don't bash the iPhone people! Is one piece of kit! It's beautiful and the execution is great!
BUT!
The HTC Touch HD is better. :)
Which is why I'm getting this phone. Probably going to be my first ever Windows Mobile device.

Guys I got mine yesterday (still trying to find all its functions).
Does anyone knows how I can add more languages on the phone (I want to write in Greek but only gives me the option of English, German, French and Chinese characters/keyboards)

specs looks impressive, but i wonder if the actual thng will live up to what it is marketed hype. os could be buggy, screen response could be slow, applciations could always hang, cam and vid quality may be low (5 mp is the size of photo, but photo could be blurry due to cheap lens), build quality could feel cheap. so far ive yet to see the phone in real, only ads and previews on utube. wont know how the phone is till ive held one in hand and test it.

Best connectivity to laptop, bluetooth unstable unreliable and version dependant V1.0, V1.2, etc
Infrared offers secure connection, no one can intercept or corrupt the connection.
You can even use phone as a universal remote control!

great spec no flash on camera?
with all the bells and whistles however how will this phone deal with out having a pull out keyboard lets hope they get the touch technology right. The htc diamond really suffers with out a keyboard making surfing and inputing data a slow and irritating process.

At the very least, the resolution (800x480) is HD and does pave the way for putting more weight into the rumours of the iPhone HD (480p) next year.

I am still salivating over this phone. I already made my preorder over at mobilecityonline. The fact that it has an expandable SD slot and a 3.5 mm headphone Jack. As soon i I get this i'm selling my Samsung Tocco, and my iPod Touch916 GB.
