iPhone, 24 Oct 2008hoho..i dont dare to comment more for this one..this is hi-... moreDude, the iPhone can play about six formats. This you can play almost anything, true, you have to find media players for WinMob 6.1, but at least you have that option, rather than being stuck with all DRM & weird very rarely used fomats on the iPhone.

HTC need to ... morei dont think this phone has too many weakness's. Anyway coming from a nokia n95 makes life hard for me becuase that phone has absolutely everything but i very well might get this.

HTC need to bring the price down to compesate and even then ....
I think 350-400USD is the max for introduction.
There are too many good phones out there now, and more to come :)))

Changing the hardware before its release at this time would not be possible, but hope HTC would take some of the suggestions here and update the ROM and its softwares to make this phone more user friendly:
1. Change the camera software to allow one of the volume key to function also as a shutter key.
2. Add face detection to the camera program.
3. The home key is not as useful as the Action key of the D-pad on WinMo devices, HTC should reprogramme the home key as such.
4. Make Touchflo an accessible program from Window today screen rather than an 'Either Or' interface.
There are many 3rd party softwares that cannot be used on a device like this with no D-pad.HTC HD may be ahead of its time or with WinMo 6.1, but when there is a incompatibiity between the OS and the hardware, it becomes a defective design.

Well If you live in the US, u cant have one cause they are NOT releasing it in the states.
The phone is gonna be the bomb, my girl lives in England and im gonna get one thru her as i live in California. As for a keyboard on this phone, dont hold your breath. They have the Touch Pro for that. The HD is a MEDIA device, if you want a keyboard you have to go with their device geared towards biz. Its not likely that they will come out with one anytime soon if at all with all of these new phones they have released. Look for the Touch XD in about a year, i guess that might be the one we are all waiting for and waiting for and waiting for aaaaaaand waiting for!

but if u talk about MULTIMEDIA phone..this phone is just CRAP!!!

Mhh, this really looks interesting. But I still havn't descided which one I'll buy: the touch HD or the xperia X1. My girlfriend has the samsung f480 and the touchscreen keyboard is definitly a weak point: with a normal keyboard I can type faster, even if it's a qwerty-touchscreen and a normal 0-9-Keypad, so maybe it'd be good to take the X1, though I prefere the looks (especially the slimness) and specs of the touch HD. What are your experiences with touchscreen keyboards? Are you getting used to it?

The memory WONT cost 200...youre getting ripped off if you pay that. i got 8gb in my phone for 40 dollars. Also you know nothing about the build quality if you have never touched it. Especially considering HTC tends to make pretty solid phones. And if you would care to read anything about it, the screen is glass. Looks are opinion too. I find it to be more attractive than the iphone. They aren't following anything, they are innovating. I dont see an iphone with a 5mp camera and 30 FPS video.
