Anthony, 20 Sep 2009Phones are cheaper on contract all over the world not just ... moreI'm sure Leo will cost more than we can imagine.. Capacitive screens + Snapdragon chip is an expensive combination..

I'm not thinking of getting the Leo, I don't know why, but i feel that i should wait.. I'm not done with my HD and i feel it'll be months until i set my mind on something impressive as the HD when it came out.. XpPhone is something though.. :)

Just look what was done to the Pro 2 when it came to the U.S.
    Funny thing is, if the Leo cost $800 it will still be less than what I would have to pay for a Iphone which is going for $1000+ because I can’t get it on contract.

      Then I told myself it must be one of my third party software so I didn’t install any and it still crashed. So all it could be is a bad rom but you were not having the problem, so it couldn’t be that.
      Then I remembered I tried miri rom and I said to myself “the only reason that dutty would say to hard reset twice after a flash is if sometimes drivers get left behind.
      So using logic..... This phone is running windows, and it is behaving like when you have driver conflict. and what do you do when a windows pc start to run like crap because allot of software was installed and uninstall and upgraded and things get too complicated to fix?
      You get the manufacture CD and you start over from scratch. So that is what I did. And luck me it worked. 16 hours later and it still has not crashed and all my 3rd party software is back on the phone.

        I'm sick & tired of all these phone manufacturers including Htc. They never f..kin make PERFECT phone eventhough they can. They add one feature & take away two features. I was so excited about Leo at first……overall killing feature …2 led flash, 1ghz processor etc but under the hood only 1250 mah battery to run this monster. I don’t understand wats wrong with damn htc. ….at least they should have put 1500 mah.
        I was expecting resistive screen since I love to use stylus….now they come up with capacitive. Actually Htc already filed patent for capacitive stylus. But where’s this capacitive stylus then? Looking at pic of leo, I see stylus nowhere!

        Beside this, lets talk about price when this leo hits market. I'm sure its gonna cost you arm & leg. It will be $800 plus. Few months ago, I bought one back-up netbook for travelling. It cost me less than $500……with 32gb ssd, 2gbram, atom processor….not bad at all for the price. And of course it’s a laptop …far better than phone in terms of working & surfing. But why these so-called smart phones so expensive??? This is really ridiculous! At least iphone is way cheaper if you get one in contract. This is how it works in usa no matter wat phone u buy.

          If the touchscreen in Leo is capacitive, then goodbye stylus..
          There will be no letter recognition or drawing..

          Since Windows 6.5 have lots of tiny boxes to check and tiny drop-down menus to select, no wonder the Leo comes with a 4.3" screen because accuracy will be harder in capacitive..

          Another observation, In capacitive screens when you touch a certain area in the phone, it will select a whole area of pixels, where in resistive screens it will select that very pixel you tapped..

          So i don't think Capacitive screens and Resistive screens are opponents, they are alternatives.. I think both are great!..

                    It's the same for photo preview it stops at 99 but if you go in album you will see all your photos.

                        when you tried to edit an existing contact in r3 it would take you to a blank screen (you would not see the fields with the contact info.) that was fixed in r4
                        in r3 there was a devider line missing in settings. that was fixed in r4.

                          I flash all my roms the same way from day1 till now.
                          It's a bit different from how you do it but it has always worked without problem.
                          I would just download the rom to my pc, unzip it and run it right there with the phone in sync mode. the program does the rest.
                          but with r3 and r4 my phone was only crashing. and when it crashed, not even taking out the battery could get it to start again (it would stop on the booting screen) I would have to hard reset to get back in my phone.
                          I took out the memory card like you said but it was sill doing the same thing.
                          the only thing I could think was...... after r2 I tryed the miri rom and I did not like it (touchflo was only skin deep) so I went on to dutty r3 and that's when the crashing started.
                          but when you said you were not crashing and I was crashing in r4 as wel,l I knew it was not the rom.
                          you know when you flash they say you should hard reset because of drivers or somthing. that's when I said to my self maybe some part of miri rom got left back and its clashing with dutty rom.
                          that is why I flashed the original rom from the htc site and then flashed back the r4. it is about 9 hours now I'm back on r4 and I have not crashed. so I think I'm in the clear

                                    I didn't think you had to flash official rom to get rid of issues..

                                    I'm in R4 now, haven't noticed a difference yet, the sms opens faster though..
