cpu? sorry but im totally thick whats that. all i want is to be able to talk, text, face book, email and camera, so would you say the htc touch hd is too complicated for what i want, just cant decide whether i should stick with another nokia 5800

and am very happy with it. but I think ill get the new HTC leo when it comes out for sale. it has bigger screen, a camera with flash and faster CPU. and no slide out anything. just the way I like it.

All I was saying is how winmob is outdated in the light of other new mobile platforms like iphone, palm, lg's s class, android, nokia's maemo. Winmob is RAW powerhouse….still lots of things to be done (just to name a few….support for capacitive screen, better User friendly interface, 16m color support etc).They should address all those shortcomings in their next upcoming winmob7 If they wanna stay in the market. Winmob is still alive coz it is microsoft's product.
As for htc leo, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I just wanted to see 1ghz processor, 5mp with led flash (not fan of pic though) and most imp thing is …stereo speakers (not for using in public place though)…I need this for loud alarm which can wake me up in any situation. I think htc left out this stereo thing this time also.

thanks for your advice. at the moment i have a... moreI used the 5800, after the latest updates V30 some issues are gone and the user interface is much better and faster to use with your thumb, you won't have to use the scrolling bar to go up and down, just swipe the page up and down.. Also browsing the web and youtube is faster.. Music quality is better.. and much more things that i don't recall..
Hopefully V31 is coming out to fix some issues V30 is having..
Regarding the touch HD:
If you have used windows in a PC, you go to Start->Program->Settings or control panel.. Its quite the same in the HD, it is much easier too, since you have everything in the Desktop of the touch HD thanks to touchFlo3d..

Back up your sms and only keep 30 sms, for 2.6 to perform normally.. I have around 50 sms now and it's a bit laggy.. So i have to erase old ones, but its ok cause i have them in Microsoft MyPhone.

thanks for your advice. at the moment i have a nokia 5800 and there are things on it i dont know how to work but generally i get on ok with it, its just a shame i seem to have a lot of trouble with it.im just worried if i might find this new hd too complicated to use, have you tried one yourself?

When I try to edit on... moreI noticed the following:
- The weather in Homescreen is animated better.
- More options in settings.
- SMS is a bit better than R2, scrolling through a chat is much smoother.
- The Music&Photo tab lags in rotation "Needs a faster processor". I disabled them. S2P and Resco Viewer are the Ultimate friendly GUI Replacements.
That's all i know of for now..

Settings->Sound&Display->Ring and Notification section->Notification Sounds->New Text Message
Don't tap the on-off button, Just simply tap the word "New Text Message"..

When I try to edit one of my contacts I get a blank screen. And have to hit the home key to get out of it.
And the import bug is still there for sms.

So you actually admired a Windows Mobile/Touch HD?? Why didn't you tell us from the beginning that it was all about the 1GHz Chip and a camera flash???..
And what did apple do regarding that? an out of date 600MHz? or a 256mb RAM?? You'll have to wait till next summer for a new iPhone with minor upgrades maybe a 5 mega pixel camera and a 1GHz chip. Oh and Cross your fingers for mms and video calls too..
Join us and get a Windows Phone and i promise we'll throw everything behind us and start a new friendship page.. ;)
