X2 isn't, but its a fantastic pho... moreI know the X1 was made by HTC, but that was only an experiment, now SE will make their own phones most probably, and will make really high-end devices, SE's chief promised this. The X3 is awesome, will be announced on September if I know correctly, and will be available in February next year, but the X2 will be available in December!!!

You both are great people. Please don't go down to lower levels of symbian users. just ignore them and don't waste you time with them.
I have a query. i'm still using winmo 6.1. I like to upgrade to rev.8 or to winmo 6.5 rev 8. The reason I never upgraded for the last 6 months is that i'm worried about all the softwares I've installed in arabic. Do you think I'll have problem with Arabic noting that when I syncronize with vista, it fails for some reason.

X2 isn't, but its a fantastic phone coming soon, Rachael is X3 which won't be out until later.. HTC new phones will have nVidia chips, right now all i know is one phone from hTC that will have that..

i used HD for 2 months. the performance is excellent. no doubt.
But the front side edges getting scratch easily. HTC should take it seriousely.

Its not because its easier or not, Windows Mobile can be the easiest phone to use ever, but people judge from the way it functions without even trying the phone first..
If the user interface was hard to use, you can choose out of 100s of user interfaces applications to install in windows mobile and have everything at only a touch away..
People should start using and do less accusing!! ;-)

Let me explain how Windows Mobile affect people.. My friend saw my HD and went through my applications and played with it a while, he was amazed by the features and the unlimited settings that could be done according to your needs.. He was shocked that all those years he was a symbian fan when windows had it all.. He bought the Diamond 2 last week and i helped him setting it up, (Unlocking, upgrading.... etc).. I'm telling even if you bring me a windows mobile 5.0 phone which came out in 2006, you can upgrade it to the latest windows and install all the latest applications and still beat the symbian phones..
Of course i'm not talking about hardware here (Camera, Screen resolution, ram, gps, ...etc)
Software is everything, without a software a hardware can't operate smoothly..
The Touch HD has everything a perfect phone needs, if you say camera quality, i for one, don't care cause i own a DSLR and super happy with it, the Touch HD camera is used only for phone purposes or quick snaps which are clear and amazing too..

I'm studying this phone from last one month finally today I decided this phone is just awesome , outstanding , and unique too.......u don't have to carry laptop with u when u have this phone with you......

everyone has different tastes, some people may think symbian are easier to use for them n some may think win mobile are better for them. since the technology is imprving everyday,people are not just using phones to make calls, we use to take pictures,listen to musics, browse web site, etc. so our goal is to get the right phones which makes our lives happier and easier to live. so please dont say this phone is better than that phone or this software symstem better than that software system, just pick the phone u like that is easier for u to use which makes ur life happier.xd have a nice day

You forget many low-end phones have Java, and not Symbian OS! Android will take Winmob place in 2011, or 2012, you will see this! Actually I don't hate Winmob, I don't like how it looks.

I install garmin solfware in my HD,including voice for mandarin/chinese, it's work well for speak english and other european language,but can not speak in mandarin/chinese, how can my HD speak in chinese when using GPS? pls some body help,thanks.

Symbian os is the biggest because the cheapest non smartphones ran Symbian. millions of people (my mom being one of them.) have this saying "a cell is just to make and get calls, I need nothing more and I'm not going to pay for more" almost every phone that fits that (make/get calls and cheap) is running the Symbian OS. the unemployed could buy a symbian phone. that makes them BIG in the market not the best in the cell market.
