Touch Pro is a fantastic device. Only additional stuff required is that it should have had a tab for "Stocks" like they have in HTC Touch HD. Can anyone suggest how to install it on touch pro?

Hi
I have had this phone now for approx 3 weeks, and love it...
I have read various comments on here about the phone, and a lot of them relate to people who have not worked things out or understand the proper functionality of this phone, I was able to find small tweaks to this phone on the internet which was great (at least you can tweak a phone like this) but the tweaks were not necessary, they were just personal preferences I wanted. My requirements were for a buisness phone for calls, email (multiple accounts) and messaging. This phone is a dream it handles it all very well and has never locked. The only thing I did was apply a patch for Daylight Savings from Microsoft. Active Sync works well, I love the qwerty keyboard for emails and messaging as well as using it for changes to my documents etc.. I have no problem in recommending this phone. And I can't wait to get a look and feel of the new Touch Pro 2 in Q3. HTC Rocks !!!

Hayden, 31 Mar 2009Horrible phone When I am on a call there is no way to lock... moreAmen to everything you say. It's a terrible phone!!! It doesn't function well and it's way slow. My freezes on me all the time and the keyboard often stops working for random hours of the day. The screen randomly turns on for no reason at all which kills the battery. Also, when I receive a text message it unlocks the screen so if I don't reach for it then and there, buttons get pushed because it's being pressed up against my leg and sometimes that even turns it off silent. I have had so much frustration because of this phone. I can't believe the engineers who made it or the people who allowed it to go on the market. The processor is way to slow for what they want it to do. Do NOT buy this phone.

Ryu, 09 Mar 2009From the aspect of a long Windows Mobile devices user, this... moreExactly my feelings, at times I am amazed at the power of this device although in India we still have some time to go before experiencing 3G as a common phenomenon. Yes average voice and text users find the sheer expanse of WM overwhelming and hence the adverse comments against WM. Although there are issues like the low volume but after extensive probing in to Symbian( I have had both E-71 & 51 apart from the N series) and BB Bold, My due respects to breezy functionality of symbian S60 and push mail feature of BB but inspite of what people might say there is still no substitute for WM platform for serious and evolving users. The sheer customization and power offered by the platform and the device make you feel somewhat the joy of creation....Finally sincere gratitude to my unseen freinds at xda-developers specifically and GSM arena in general who have made me a sort of local "know all" in mobile devices in such a short span.

therock, 25 Nov 2008What are the camera flash modes of the touch pro/fuze? on, ... moreThe best carrier and data program for the HTC touch pro is Sprint. The phone is only $299.00 with a two year contract. The phone is awsome but its not for some one that is use to idiot proof phones. If you are computer savey you can tweek this phone to run like a Rolex and you will get the battery life as posted by the spec sheet.

Horrible phone
When I am on a call there is no way to lock the keypad so I regularly hang up on people.
The battery life is about 1/2 of what the Treo was. Yesterday my phone was completely dead after three hours ~ approximately 1 hour of talk time.(I've adjusted the power settings to the lowest luminocity)
Since I had to reduce the lumicity it means that my backlight turns off immediately when I am on a call. When another call comes in (call waiting) it doesn't re-light so I can't see who is calling me.
When I am on a call and another call beeps in, I am able to click over to answer it however it drops the caller on hold every time
The keypad is so tiny that I have to pull out the stylett every time- Hate this feature.
There isn't a "mail" "voice mail" or "contacts" button on the keypad. I have to use the digital screen, thereby requiring me to pull out the stylett every time.
When I turn the phone from horizontal to vertical, it is supposed to adjust (like the Iphone) however, there is about a 5 second delay.
When I type in phone numbers or email messages there is also a delayed response, so I constantly have to erase, re-type and wait.
In order to close out of a program (the current page open) I have to hit this tiny little "okay" button in the upper right corner and this requires that I use the stylett.
When I open an email message I have two options at the bottom of the screen, "reply all" and "menu". If I don't want to "reply all" I have to go into the Menu and select two separate items in order to reply to the sender.
When a call comes in I have an option to "answer" or "ignore" 50% of the time when I hit "answer" it completely hangs up on the caller.
Unlocking my phone by entering my password generally takes about 5-10 attempts because the touchscreen sensors have a delay, so I constantly over-type.

i have this phone and in order to truly use it, u have to tweak the registry to no end. win mobile and htc clash at times like when trying to use T9 when writing a message and wanting to use the word suggestion feature. the texting lags behind when you first start typing after you slide out the keyboard. not a bad phone but it is making me consider going symbian instead. also great camera, but flash could use some work and there is no lens protection which i hate.

Owners of HTC Touch Pro, this phone is supposed to be black but it looks bluish sometimes. Does that make it look too bad and cheap. And the htc official photos makes this phone look glossy and reflective altough other used pictures makes it look dirty and disgusting. How does this phone look actually. does is look and feel better than touch hd?
