Owen, had many phones including Nokia but seriously have you ever had a touchscreen device b4 let alone one with a keyboard. Sure, it's good 5MP > 3.2MP if it's significant enough to replace a real camera.

It's about choice and usefulness. A TV receiver would be nice but personally prefer Touch Pro's more RAM to run programs and VGA over 16M colors, qwerty board over numpad, and beefier battery = more talk time, etc.
BTW, Owen, what GPS programs other than Nokia's can u run on it?

Perhaps it's better to compare Sony Ericsson's XPERIA X1 to this HTC Touch Pro instead and include price comparison!

I have been ignoring htc devices because of the graphics chip issue thingy that was going on but after reading htc diamond v omnia review all is now well and good,,obviously htc pro has more to offer than diamond....

The trouble is when these come out is around the time my voda contract is renewable but i cannot see voda stocking htc as yet,,,my other choice is the s/e xperia...I have n82 at moment after having n95 then n958gb plus many nokias before and spvc500/c550 etc and looking for a change...Have bought palm treo 500v to get used to windows again even tho its not ppc phone but if i went for the next nokia n96 its just the same all over again its got dvbh thats no use in uk and bigger memory but my n82 can take 32gb so waste of money..

All i can do now is see if anything comes out by the time xperia/touch pro arrive and then wait for xperia v touch pro shootout..

Glad i read the review else this would not have been on my list as such...

Wake up guys..don't attack this phone for not viewing it under sunlight or other similar tiks!
the htc diamond trembled the gsm market at first(supported by a huge advertisment)but came out to be useless to many professionals because of the ROM issue and the battery disaster!
but now it seems htc has made up some major mistakes in letting out a phone just to sell for a short period,,
htc pro is estimated and will be 40 to 50% better and welcomed soon!
                  yeah..nice work by htc,,!!!

this is probably the best of all the htc phones.the processor is superb.covers almost all features of the iphone(not 8gb)
and this one even has a flash........

                      Yaloh...
                      Screen smaller is a disadvantage...

anyway , does anybody know if this phone got:
1.light vibration when u touch any touch screen button ? (like SamsungArmani.)

                      2. Does the stylus will be magnet in like what having in Diamond ?

                      3. If there anythings that exist in the diamond but disappear in touch Pro ?

                      Thx !

Love it. But I hate the size of the screen. Too small for this pretty thing.

Arabic Support will certainly be released for all htc devices as they usually do. As i heard diamond arabic support will be end of this month be made available.

I have the diamond and have upgraded it to the latest Middle East ROM available on HTC MEA website and i am having the best experience ever using the diamond and i cant wait to also use the Touch PRO not sure though when it would be released in GCC and Middle East.

A-GPS on old HTC mobiles, had the possibility to turn of the GSM/GPRS function. Don't know if that is a easy task, but a buddy of mine could go around the GPRS, he didn't want to pay alot for a faster gps connection
