Really it is a very good phone of my choice. But I require one UMPC ( pocketable size ) with same Form factor & Features except
memory >= 8GB, Full version windows.

I am working daily with PDA since years, owned over the time maybe 10 or more. I really want to tell to all people on this forum whatever if they own the device or not, whatever if they give serious comments or not. This device is a real TOP product. This is the first PDA that really can replace a laptop on short business trips. Do not misunderstand me, it is not a PC, but a very very good and fast PDA mobile who really can handle a lot. Perfect ? sure not,but much better as all we had till now

Point taken but at the same time their has been some bizarre posts. It's obvious some people don't own the device and have alternative motives.

I do not know why you guys are being so hostile towards ChrisL. This PPC was not built by God. It was built by humans and machines. Therefore there is always the possibility of a faulty unit. Chris, my advice to you is to return the device and ask for another. The HTC TyTN II has a reputation for being an outstanding performer; so give it a proper chance. Unfortunately some people on this thread go as far as worshiping the phone and get incredibly worked up when one states a point of view. Do not let it worry you. This thread is for everyone. Anyway, try a second unit of TyTN II. Your problems simply could have been caused by a faulty device.

camera is ok, but as every mobile, in the dark it is not useful. I have the pda exactly one week now and it performs perfect

how easy is the phones touchscreen to use? Do I need to use the stylus all the time, or is it possible to touch it with fingers (assuming my fat fingers are small enough!)

Also, can anyone give any opinions on the performance of the camera, especially in darker conditions? I think this phone is awesome, and they only thing letting it down is a decent flash for the camera

                  thanks!

I've got gmaps and TomTom.Gmaps dosen't seem to work since I installed TT.As tomtom works perfectly i can only assume some settings have to be tweaked.I noticed on a website the tytnII gps receiver totally hammered the n95's gps chip.

Can someone help me in getting the GPS to work for me? The QuickGPS is the only one that keeps downloading everyweek. I have downloaded, Google Navigator, Live Search, Google Maps and tried everywhere (i.e. no building around :)) and still the GPS is unable to intialise and says no Data Received. Appreciate your help!

Owning a pocket pc is much like owning a pc.If you don't like the installed program then use a different one.Sunnysoft Contact lets you adjust contacts to suit your actual needs.

@ChrisL What utter nonsense. The amount of info that can be entered to a contact is amazing! No other platform comes close. You say the TyTN II lags, more lies. The cpu handles everything you can throw at it(Skype, slingpayer,wm etc). The phone function on the unit is also very good. All experts agree on this.I seriously doubt you have even seen a TyTN II let alone used one.
