I bought my TyTN in Asia, and the QWERTY does not function very well. Took it to HTC repair center in Singapore twice, and they admitted that within months the problem will come back again. I'm out of the 1 year warranty now, and have to live without the qwerty...it's not just extra weight. Boo!

Start-Settings-Connections(tab)-Connections(icon).
Internet(add a new modem connection).
Enter your own descriptive name for new connection.
Select modem(Cellular Line GPRS,3G).
Access point name (Internet)
Leave username, passw (blank). Finish.
Start IE and browse away.(it will connect automatically)

Hello!
I found HTC TyTN II at $700 and HTC TyTN II (Vario III) at $500.
Can someone explain what's the difference between the 2? And maybe why such a big price difference?

this phones sucks cause my friend has it and it lags like hell and is super fat and pretty big and heavy for a phone do not get this phone

I have owned many phones as of recently. The iphone is all style, no substance. The blackjack 2 died after not hanging up for 30 minutes. So currently i have a neonode n2 and the htc tilt. The tilt by far is the most amazing cellphone I have ever owned. Sure, there are more recent models with more features, but this phone is sturdy, powerful, and efficient. The only issues are the battery life and portability, but that is why i have a neonode as well.

Ever since I got my TyTN II I've been comparing it to other phones on the market and in my opinion only the Touch PRO can beat it... and then only at a price. I use mine mainly for business so messaging, email, office, calendar and internet rank highly. This phone fulfills all that and more. Plus it's rugged and has the looks that I like in a phone. I love my TyTN II.

I've got quick fingers and response time on the touch keypad is sometimes frustrating. Other than that I am a convert.

I bought a tytn ii a few days ago and let me tell you this phone rocks! a radio woulda been nice but then I have a radio in the car, @ home, @ work, you get the picture. buy this phone, people. the next step up is a notebook!

I noticed that on the price history the tytan 2 is supposed to cost around EuroDollar 240 but how come in Asia the price is still the same as when it was first released?Around EuroDollar 550 here in South East Asia? Price control?
