I've noticed when you remove the back cover the camera takes far better clearer photo's.

I had N96 for nearly four weeks. Problem after problem . Worst of all - terrible reception. What is the point of a state of the art phone you can't use?
Swapped itfor an htc tytn11 and not looked back.
Ok no flash and only 3mp camera . Only 3mp?--who do I think I am-David Bailey???That's good enough for mms and snapshots.
But I DO get excellent reception, hsdpa most of the time.A bit of a 'strange' phone at first, but once you realise you are holding a computer in your hands, and get your head round the windows operating system then you can't put it down. Brilliant. Always loved nokia's but they have shot themselves in the foot with the N96 < and their custoners in the wallet>.
Suggest anyone tries this out for at least half an hour before buying- as I said-'strange at first but once you get used to it, Fantastic!!!!!'

and need to be re-installed (so all data lost over the laste days)...I can't continue working like that and I'm looking for another device...

Sea, 01 Nov 2008The best phone /pda /gps .... all in one !! It's rubbish. I have had it for a year - Windows freezes every now and again and the touch screen stops working for seconds at a time. The build quality is very poor - rattly case. There is no graphic acceleration built in so the camera is unusable when it's not bright (the picture doesn't keep up). Can't wait to get rid of it.

I was a formal user of the Motorola mpx200, and was not ever ready for a change. I always told myself that if i am ever going to get another phone, then it has to be better in some way more than my present one. I did not really care about the camera.mpx 200 no camera.
but i knew HTC, and just asked one day at a phone shop the best HTC brand they had, just to be told it was the TYTN II. looked at it for a while and then back home, I checked it out. Upon comparison, i realized it was off the wheels from what i expected, and plus it was way past the Moto. I read a whole lot about the processor and other info about this phone over the night until i finally took it over other O2 brands, koz i am not a fun of the o2 guys, even though they had good specs.
You may ask, why did i chose this phone?
I have this thing for simple but powerful things and if u have that too, Go for this. The design of this phone is lovely, it is fit and fresh, looks really simple on the outside but so powerful on the inside.
Also it had all the things in my check list for a phone. From the gps to the mini-laptop-like, to the gprs to the 3g.....
And be4 i got it, during my research, i horded a whole lot of programs and games for it (still is). and the feel to get the phone was growing.
Now that i have it, and i am telling u, i can't get my hands off it. I have a bunch of games, programs, tweaks and things i can't describe, (with a 2gb card) and lots of media. Custom ringing tone and wall paper. SPB packs, (ALL of em) and oh, i am running on the 6.1+ (HYPER DRAGON II) DEADLY( it is known to be the fastest cooked Rom)
i said i did not care about the camera but this phone's camera killed me, 3.15mp even though there are new phones that beat that, but it is passable.
i bought it in china and it was for a very good deal.
what i can advise is that;
1. get a good Rom( it fixes the graphics and all other bugs)
2. get a big card.
3. stuff it with SPB if u have
4. get a good battery, and extra if u can.
5. never directly set a picture as a wall paper, or it would devide when in the landscape view, always use the today setting. but for best image size, take to 320x320.
for the today screen, it has the touch-flo which i think is a whole phone set for that, but look, the tytn II can support that. it is really the KAISER (the king)
I think i am writing too much, but frankly, this phone is a muscle, i have found no problem as at now except personal faults, (a line in the camera).
if u need any help i would be glad to help, just personally contact me.
it would really take a long time until i get another phone if i even would.
