It might have a few extra bells and whistles...but it's locked down tighter than Knox...seriously Android is meant to be configured and toyed with, and it's clear that Samsung has never wanted the user to do this kinda stuff. Samsung blows for this reason, who cares if they make a nice phone...they do everything in the world to prevent you from rooting or using customs roms! HTC let's you unlock boot loader on their own website!! Day one root!!!

Combined with its Infinity display and its vividness this is a product to buy. But the only thing or feature is distinct in case of HTC U11 is edge sense, a new way to interact with your phone.
Way back in 2007 when first Iphone launched with touch screen, then mobile leader Nokia criticised the technology and commented as this technology would not last longer. But what's the reality today.
Whenever any new technology or idea launched or generated there are always cons and pros to it. If Edge sense proves to be something different and really useful this may change the Sales picture for HTC for sure.

Just another warning, dont buy this product, HTC will only release the inferior version outside of China with only 4 GB RAM. HTC thinks its good enough for the silly gaijins, what a discrimination. Its more than likely that they cut other corners with the international release and less RAM wont be the only thing we getting less, also only 64 GB storage with almost S8/Iphone 7 Plus pricing.
Dont be the one who buy inferior products!

I personally like the S8, Its a very good phone to buy, So does the U11. Both are competitive in their own way. But in this case, He is right.. This is the Htc U11 comment section. So, you don't just come here n tell people what should they buy.. or shouldn't buy U11... Everyone has their own choice, so they can think themselves. :)

S8 has great speakers too, you are just telling me things which others can't do 1 or two points better? Tho all the features you mentioned are about camera and Samsung has a better camera than most of them due to its amazing image processing. You are telling me I should buy HTC because it got two extra points in camera test? And what's an RGB OLED because none of the phone you mentioned got OLED display, it's just S8 with its infinity super amoled wqhd+ display. So back to point I told you many things S8 can do and other can't like fast wireless charging, support for both the amazing gear Vr and Google daydream as non of the lcd phone will get it, MST payments, ability to use two accounts for each app in one phone like having two whatsapp accounts, two messengers and just any app I want, dex experience, having always on display with a 3D touch enabled home button for an inbuilt fingerprint like experience when used with IRIS or face detection and just many things I told you, well you didn't tell me anything.

Great phone, the best released in 2017 till now, IMO: the battery could be larger and the bezels smaller, but this phone has it all, anyway...wish to hTC good luck, they're a very good quality company!
