Thoughts??! Hopefully what Phone Arena says about battery being 4000 mAh is true.

Wow you owned all of the last 4 eh? Nice! I had the M8 and loved it too.

The U Ultra was a glass-back phone, but I don't think they're going to do that for the U 11. We'll find out soon enough though (May 16th). I'm REALLY happy with my 10, so if the U 11 doesn't do it enough for me, I'd be perfectly fine with keeping it 'til next year, esp since I only just got it in January. I had the Glacier Silver 10 last summer for about a week, but went with the Xperia X Performance instead. I realized later I was better off and switched back to HTC as Sony has gone downhill in both the battery life and audio departments. Camera is the only thing it does better really, but with the 3 major camera updates the 10 has gotten already, I feel it's very close now. The XZ Premium though does look really cool though.

Yeah, I hope the U 11 has the same killer DAC as the 10, and also "USB over analog" built into its MicroUSB-C port, or else having the killer DAC won't matter.

HTC , ive owned each and every one series since the original one m7 , m8 , m9 and htc 10 .. i love your build quality , design , camera , audio output .. basically everything from your one series but if you retards switch from full metal body to glass unibody etc with that ugly htc u design , my moneys going to either one+5 or as much as id hate it probably an sony xz premium.
good luck htc , dont screw it up with your 2017 flagship

I notice that the 3.5mm headphone jack section now says "No" instead of "Yes" like it did last week for the U 11 specs on this site. Oh well. HOPEFULLY HTC was smart enough to enable "analog over USB" on the MicroUSB-C port, or else even if they do have another kill DAC like the 10 had, it's not gonna matter. I just hope they're not that stupid to do that. Samsung yeah, they're stupid about sound, but hopefully not HTC. lol

Also, I see Bluetooth 5.0 listed as well. I guess that's a plus for wireless headphone lovers.

Oh, and please have the speakers on FRONT side not BOTTOM side like GSM Arena U pic!!

Yes I agree! I just hope Edge Sense doesn't come off to people as being "gimmicky", but at least it shows HTC is thinking OUTSIDE the box. While that may not guarantee success, it also NEVER hurts either! lol

I also REALLY hope they offer: 1) The same and/or better KILLER DAC (and amp, both dedicated) like the 10 has 2) Analog over USB-C, or else the quality of the DAC and amp will be pointless 3) A bigger battery than the 10's 3000 mAh one (but I'm not holding my breath here lol) and 4) That HTC makes sure to certify VoLTE with T-Mobile here in the U.S. for the unlocked 11/U as they did for the unlocked 10 that I currently own.

If these pics are real, then it looks good. it seems like HTC did manage to slim down some bezels compared to U Ultra.

Since it's running on Snapdragon 835, it WILL be Quick Charge 4.0-compatible. Regarding the battery size, I don't think they will go bigger than the 10's 3000 mAh battery, which I'm not happy about, but hopefully I'm wrong. However, the 835 is more efficient than the 10's 820 chip, so that will help. But also the 11 will be a big bigger, so that won't. Basically it will prob have the same battery life as the 10, MAYBE slightly better? We'll see soon.

I agree..........I've had the 10 for 3 mos now (after replacing my now former Sony Xperia X Performance with it) and it is VERY fast! It loads up apps, installs updates, etc. VERY quickly. I absolutely LOVE this phone!

Did you notice on the unofficial specs page for the 11 here on GSM Arena that it says it WILL have a 3.5mm jack? I thought that was interesting has all other reports indicate it very likely won't. What do you think?

I am also hoping they bring back CLASSIC BoomSound for the 11/U vs. the 10's Hi-Fi BoomSound. The pics on here indicate 2 BOTTOM-FACING stereo speakers, which I am not happy with, and hope it's not true and that they are front-facing. But if it is, I hope HTC AT LEAST utilizes the front top speaker for when you play music on it. I guess we'll find out soon enough.

I am like 50/50 on upgrading to the 11/U/Ocean. I am not thrilled about the phone basically becoming a phablet, but it sounds like it will be with the 5.5" screen. I wish they at least went with the 18:9 screen like the S8/S8+ will have so you get more screen with less body. And also I wish/hope they make the battery bigger than 3000 mAh considering it's the same battery the 10 uses but now it's a bigger phone. I know the 835 is more efficient on power than the 10's 820 is, but still, it's a bigger phone. lol

But the Edge Sense thing sounds really cool, it appears the 11 won't have a front home pad (so it will look LESS like a Samsung phone ftw lol), I'm sure the camera will be better..........if the phone has a great DAC and amp like the 10, then that would be a MAJOR plus for me. Also, if HTC makes it fully compatible with T-Mobile the way they did with the 10 (i.e. certifying it for VoLTE/Wi-Fi Calling with T-Mobile on the unlocked phones too), then that will be another big plus for me.
