HTC U12 Life will launch with Android 8.1 Oreo
It appears HTC's next phone, the Android One-powered U12 Life, will launch with Android 8.1 Oreo and not Android 9.0 Pie.
That means that the phone is due sooner rather than later. And the U12 Life will allegedly not be manufactured in house but rather by a third party manufacturer (no word on which one). This is likely the direct result of HTC cutting some 1,500 people from its manufacturing unit.
Imagine Life (Allegedly U12 Life) will be shipped with Android 8.1 on board.

Interesting fact about it, this device will be ODM manufactured...
We have an unfinished idea of what the HTC U12 Life will be. It is expected to have a 6-inch 18:9 1080x2160px IPS LCD, a Snapdragon 636 chipset with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage.
It will likely have a 16MP + 5MP dual camera on the back and a 13MP snapper on the front. The battery will be a 3,600mAh unit. Finally the HTC U12 Life could have a Pixel-like dual tone design.
