With decent LCD screens you can have impressive blacks as long as it is a light environment but as soon as the surroundings become darker you get to see the back-lighting that is inevitable with LCD's. I don't like that it it soars my eyes. A bit the other way around to people who actually has similar problems with Oled units. The effectiveness isn't an issue for me (unless it's a bright sunny day). On that matter I miss the polarised Oled (and also LCD) screens of Nokia in the old days but as you say that can be solved by applying a matt screen protector.

you have to suffer, 30 Jul 2023atleast it has 3.5mm.. 3.5MM!!!! not only for radio but use... moreFrom my understanding the type C port works exactly the same as a 3.5 jack and works just as well with external mics (this is what is descibed on all other sites about it aswell). REALLY what you want if thats your issue is an LG g5, get the B&O dac accessory which can be used with your pc or laptop aswell, THAT is better than any phone with a 3.5 jack currently on the market.

neither oled or lcd, still have glare due to glossiness. use something like matte screen protectors.

You are not on some random tech site. You are in place where people around the globe are often measuring their d*cks over some stupid benchmark score or different pricing or whatever. It's always something. Some people are so unfulfilled in life that they like to share their negativity with everyone to ease their pain.
We even have really sick people in here constanly lying and trying to manipulate their personal opinions into facts.
I don't blame them. I feel sorry for them. They are wasting time on things they can't change and that's just stupid.

Anonymous, 26 Jul 2023what happened to the good old LCD panels?I would say "Yesss!!" an Oled. I hate LCD displays just because of the glare there is as a result of the back-lighting that these panels require. Also the colours are in most cases less attractive. Of course this is my preference and I already had discussions on GSM Arena with people who prefer LCD and I'm fine with that.
