I want to buy my parents replacement phones in the future. However, the concern in the U.S. is will it support T-Mobile VoLTE? If not, will be left with a data only phone, which defeats a main reason of owning them.

My parents currently have HTC U20 5G and those phones have VoLTE. But I have tested HTC Desire 22 Pro and that one doesn't have VoLTE. Does anyone know the answer?

This one is midrange phone (second or third hand). Does not matter

Because if you mean the latter one, then post some cheap alternatives that you know which has a headphone jack+sd card slot combo, 120Hz, fingerprint that is not under the screen and is not a second hand Xperia phone.

Honestly speaking, based on the specs alone I'm interested in this device - considering that it ticks all the boxes quite neatly for me I would consider this for my own use case over something like the A54; my only concern would be update cycles at this point, I imagine its HTCs shortfall at the moment much like other companies barring Samsung, Google and HMD Global (Nokia)

Anonymous, 18 May 2023Yeah, no sure why they chose to cripple it with 7 gen 1. I ... morePoco F5 also questionably omitted the 4k60 option, despite the 7 Gen 2 chipset supporting that capability.

It's also weird that no Android phones seem to support 1440 60fps video recording.

New phone release in 2023 with no e-sim support! Disappointment

YUKI93, 18 May 2023A physical fingerprint scanner on the Power button, microSD... moreYeah, no sure why they chose to cripple it with 7 gen 1. I mean, why does there always have to be a significant flaw in a phone? This one got everything right but ruined by 7 gen 1. Poco F5 has 7+ gen 2 but no microSD and not so good camera. A54 has poor CPU and no headphone jack. There's always something wrong somewhere!

Oh boy, we see again that crappy 2 MP useless camera. They should have skipped that, and put a 12 MP Ultrawide camera instead of that 8 MP one.
If they should have done this, less people would complain of its price tag I guess.

Tactictaylor , 16 May 2023Nothing of interest here for HTC, sadly. Just another bland... moreSo true.
They could just rerelease the HTC One (M7, M8, M9 or M9+) with modern software and hardware and it would sell way better than this stuff.

A physical fingerprint scanner on the Power button, microSD card support, 3.5mm audio jack, IP67 rating, and USB3, all for around $600? I'm still unsure about the SoC selection, but this is easily an upper-midrange Sony Xperia 1 for half the price. I hope this phone will sell globally outside Taiwan and is priced right.

It is important that technology utilisation. Actually HTC is not king in that time when they were no.1. because the complexity of making smartphone is less on that times. Right now it is complex and important for a smartphone OEM.

I think Chinese smartphone OEM are far better than htc mobile.

Oh wow, it's the phone with OIS, Headphone jack, microsd slot, wireless charging, NFC. What else you can ask for? A better chipset/better camera setup maybe. But, come on, it looks great on the paper

                                      No update 😂

I want to care as I love HTC, having owned a one S and HTC 10 but the u12+ had terrible battery life so I switched to Huawei mate 20 pro. Since then they haven't released a single phone worth considering so I don't have high hopes this will be any good ethier.
