Nothing of interest here for HTC, sadly. Just another bland android phone, sadly with HTC a once fabulous company that made premium smartphones now just wants to tread down the path of cheap heavy and nothing special devices.

Casual Review 2.0 | Dead Company Phone 2023 Edition
If HTC uses the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 or a powerful High-end chipset, I would say that they're truly back.
The 7 Gen 1 might perform like the 778G on paper, but unfortunately, it suffers from Samsung's "good" Fabrication. (There's a korean spy hired by samsung outside my window)
for the Cameras, it's basically similar to the Xiaomi 12 Lite and The Samsung M54 Setup. The Main Camera can beat The Redmi Note 11S, because it has 2K Support.
For the Rest of the Sensors, I̶ ̶g̶e̶t̶ ̶w̶h̶y̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶y̶ ̶d̶i̶d̶ ̶t̶h̶i̶s̶,̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶y̶ ̶p̶r̶o̶b̶a̶b̶l̶y̶ ̶d̶o̶n̶'̶t̶ ̶h̶a̶v̶e̶ ̶e̶n̶o̶u̶g̶h̶ ̶b̶u̶d̶g̶e̶t̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶g̶e̶t̶ ̶a̶ ̶1̶2̶M̶P̶ ̶U̶l̶t̶r̶a̶w̶i̶d̶e̶ ̶o̶r̶ ̶5̶M̶P̶ ̶M̶a̶c̶r̶o̶.̶ After I've seen the Desire 22 Pro, Yeah, they should've used a 12MP Ultrawide Camera, but I get it, they wanna make a cheap midranger, which is a reasonable enough answer to why they're using the 8MP Ultrawide Sensor on their phone.
Battery? Decent. Ram? Good.
Now for the Display... it's good enough.
Overall, This phone is a Generic Midranger. There are no gimmicks Unlike back then to make them stand out from the crowd.
I still have Hopes for HTC, but at the same time, I want them to get Bankrupt.

It will have to be cheaper as I just picked up the Moto G200 for £300 direct from Lenovo - Snapdragon 888+, 5000mah battery, 108mp main cam, screen is a decent 144hz LCD (OLED would be nice, but that low price), 8gb/128 - bargain 😁

You'll get one, perhaps two minor OS updates on this HTC - if you're lucky. You will never see an Android version update. What you get is what you'll be stuck with, unless you go the custom route.

Anonymous, 12 May 2023Really? They had to choose 7 gen 1? Why not use 7+ gen 2??Anything can be justified for the right price. Unfortunately, I don't foresee them pricing it right.
