It is a great chipset, but of course the final perception depends heavily on the price of the gadget.

          This is fine for a mid range phone, but HTC's support is abysmal. Not even 2 years of software updates are guaranteed.

            What in god's name happened to HTC . They used to be giants in the smartphone industry. I owned their last great phone , the One m9 for almost 6 years.
            It's really sad to see they can not even compete with small manufacturers let alone giants like Samsung or Apple especially after they let go of the flagship phone market

                The specs are ok, but why mono speaker? There are still people buying HTC in Taiwan with the carrier deals, so this isn't that bad as the previous one.

                      I've always wanted to have an HTC... But things like stereo speakers, IR port and 3.5mm Jack are highly valued by me, even though the equipment is not as strong in aspects such as the Camera, the Screen or the Build Quality which is what ends up making the Equipment more expensive.

But this phone is really a step in right direction. If it sells well HTC might actually make a flagship next year with 1.5k display and a flagship chipset that has microSD card and headphone jack! This phone isn't excruciatingly expensive as some people making it out to be. Later this year price could go well below 500.

You and others just spam about jack and microsd in this site into some delusion that it will make a change instead of going directly to their support channels. That is my logic. I know I've done my share far more than most of the people that only spam no 3.5mm jack no buy in here.

                                      But they're free to continue, since there's no censorship in that aspect. Same as I'm free to remind them how annoying they are and they're wasting their time. If you get triggered by that, sorry not sorry.
